This essay will be divided into five sections. The first section will discuss the description of the work. The second section will analyze how the relationship was established. The third section will identify the anticipated and actual barriers in the relationship. The fourth section will discuss in depth how the relationship was brought to a close. Reflecting upon my interactions with the patient I will analyze the influence of the reflective process. Following guidelines from the NMC (2008) Code of Professional Conduct and the GSCC (2002) Codes of Practice, the names of the patients have been changed to ensure confidentiality.
