Currently, there are multiple pharmaceutical companies in the final clinical trials of a COVID-19 vaccine. Creating and testing a vaccine has been an enormous challenge, and now that we are nearing the final stages, the next task to deliver the vaccine from the labs to your arm is about to begin. Distributing / transporting the vaccine at this scale and contending with its handling particulars is being regarded as the ultimate supply chain challenge. Experts have noted that more than 8,000 747 jumbo freighters are needed to distribute more than 800,000 tons of the vaccine.
