Complete 29 pages APA formatted article: Turnover intentions.

Complete 29 pages APA formatted article: Turnover intentions. Retention and productivity levels of the existing workforce are an essential concern in human resource management. Employee turnover is one of the most studied aspects in organisational psychology (Mitra, Jenkins, & Gupta, 1992) and is of interest to other professionals, including personnel researchers, behavioural scientists, and management practitioners (Mobley, Griffeth, Hand, and Meglino, 1979).

Employees may exit an organisation either voluntarily or involuntarily. For the purpose of this research, the criteria variable ‘turnover intention’ is defined as an individual’s inclination to leave an organisation voluntarily (Dougherty, Bluedorn & Keon, 1985. Kiyak, Namazi & Kahana, 1997. Mobley, 1977. Stedham & Mitchell, 1996). Employees leave for a variety of reasons, some leave to escape negative work environments, some to enhance their career goals and some to pursue more attractive opportunities (Roseman, 1981). Involuntary turnover is usually employer initiated, where the organisation believes the employee does not match its requirement. Involuntary turnover can also include death. mandatory retirements and ill health which can be a part of the voluntary separation

In literature, turnover intention has been identified as the immediate precursor for turnover behaviour (Mobley, Horner & Hollingsworth, 1978. Tett & Meyer, 1993). It has been recognised that the identification of variables associated with turnover intentions is considered an effective strategy in reducing actual turnover levels (Maertz & Campion, 1998).

Consequences of Employee Turnover

An employee’s exit from an organisation is a direct cost, in the form of having to select, recruit, and train a new employee (Dalton, Todor, & Krackhardt 1982. Staw, 1980, Hall 1981). The exit also has indirect cost implications that include reduced morale, pressure on the remaining staff, costs of learning, and the loss of social capital (Des & Shaw, 2001). This assumption was popular in the research literature in the late 20th century (e.g. Herman 1997. White, 1995). One of the main consequences for organisations that have a high turnover is the financial cost. The total costs of employee turnover are hard to measure, in particular, the effects on the organisations’ culture, employee morale, and social capital or loss of organisational memory (Des & Shaw 2001). The focus has been on the tangible costs associated with turnover in the areas of selection, recruitment, induction and training of new staff, learning costs and the cost of being short-staffed (Cascio, 1987. Cheng & Brown 1998). The cost of losing a high performer who has a high degree of responsibility, or an employee who is employed in an area where there is a labour market shortage, can be substantial. Dalton & Rador (1986) have estimated the cost of turnover to an organisation has been on average one to one and a half times the employee’s salary. Indeed, Clark-Rayner and Harcourt (2001) estimate the costs of external recruitment of personnel at a New Zealand bank to be NZ$4,500 for non-management cadre employees and NZ$12,500 for management cadre employees.

In addition, turnover can have a negative impact on other employees by disrupting cohesiveness and increasing internal mobility, which can lead to triggering additional turnover (North, Rasmussen, Hughes, and Finlayson 2005).

Write a 3 pages paper on education high school. In this respect, education is not imparted by the teacher but should be developed by giving activities which enables students to think. The article stresses that so often, students are given the materials containing the information which they should memorize robbing them of the time to really develop their mental abilities. In essence, the article emphasizes that the role of the teacher is to “elicit from the pupil what is latent” in every human being and this is the rule of reason. Instead of being sausages, it sees pupils as oysters and the teachers duty is for the finest pearls to develop from within.

With my current point of view, the article is an eye-opener for me. Having believed all my life that students are empty sausages where education is filled in throughout their lifetime, I must say that reading the article shows learning in a new light. To be honest, it came as a shock because I have always believed that teachers do really have to infuse knowledge that students should absorb. However, a deeper probe makes me realize that in learning, the student take a more active role than the teacher.

Thinking things through, I agree with the article that knowledge should not be stuffed but should be elicited from the pupils. As the article stresses, each of us has the latent ability to reason. Every born individual has a functioning mind when he is born and should be developed as he matures. When a child reaches three years old, I have observed from my experience that he can give reasons to defend himself when his behavior is questioned. Even though this behavior is repressed in some societies, the child still learns to reason and defend his actions even to elders. This personal observation makes me realize that yes. each of us has the ability to reason which should be the most important tool in acquiring all the knowledge that through our interaction with the teachers.

Eliciting knowledge from the student then calls for a unique way of teaching and learning. In the part of the teacher, eliciting knowledge then becomes much more complicated than just assigning readings and books for the students to read. I believe that Plato has modeled the classic way of bringing out and refining the reasoning skills of an individual through dialectic. In this method, the teacher asks the students probing questions which makes them think and rethink. Having been in the time where Sophists are the influential teachers, this method has been repressed by the society. However, this type of knowledge cultivation produced two of the most influential thinkers that we know today, Socrates and Aristotle serving as a proof that this method works. And I believe that this teaching method can still be applied in today’s world. However, I also have concerns with the advancement of technology which now provide more avenues for the students to learn. If technological development can be utilized in such a way that it does not solely present the information that one needs but will nurture a pupil’s ability to think and analyze, then it will be most efficient.

Provide a 1 page analysis while answering the following question: Childhood in Russia.

Provide a 1 page analysis while answering the following question: Childhood in Russia. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. Following my family’s move to the United States, I approached the first English assignment handed out in the same way. I did not get the mark I expected. To understand where I went wrong, I went to my homeroom teacher and was told something quite strange – the assignment called for creative thinking not the regurgitation of facts.

In my next assignment, I followed my teacher’s advice and found myself thinking outside what was, for me, the box. I was thinking from outside the person I was trained to be and, paradoxically, in so doing, felt as if I had found myself. For the very first time in my life, I felt that what I was writing expressed who I was. It was from this point onwards that the value of thinking from outside the box was impressed upon me.

Crispin Porter+ Bogusky.

I will pay for the following article Crispin Porter+ Bogusky. The work is to be 2 pages with three to five sources, with in-text citations and a reference page. If the client does not give access to every section- it usually turns down the offer.

There are few traditional limitations were observed between the Crispin and the Burger Kind in 2004. The partner’s pitched a plan for turning the packaging and tray liners into ad vehicles and changing the doors and parking lot signs before they ever pitched an ad idea.

Then at MINI, and now VW, the agency has been creating a line of innovative gear for owners. For a brewing company Molson, they asked to spend $1 million retooling its bottling plant just for putting labels on bottles for Crispin just for using it as the canvas for advertising along with some funny pick up lines.

One recent decision that could potentially threaten the company is of moving creative chief Bogusky, Keller, also 70 other staff to Boulder, Colo., in the year 2008. So with many key creative staffers 2,000 miles away, the agency’s ecosystem could loosen a bit.

It gained popularity by working with major companies like BMW MINI and Truth in 1990 and 2000. The company used the best Virtual marketing techniques, as used for Burger King’s subservient chicken campaign (check this website- www.subservientchicken.com). It is also a member of MDC Partners (MDCA) which s a provider of marketing communications services to customers worldwide. In November 2007, MDC is raising its share from 49 percent to 77 percent.

As it is one of the largest Advertising Company it has more than 650 employees which is one of the strengths of this company. They are able to provide innovative and creative advertising which makes them stand out in the advertising world. They have a diversified list of clients which makes them globally very popular. In 2006 the Crispin Porter & Bogusky got introduced in the UK for the first time with Burger King.

Weaknesses:

The company is known for its creativity and has become renowned worldwide and in America for its best work. But still, the power lies with the client. Furthermore, the ideas which the company comes up can be easily publicly traded in the market.

Opportunities

If the company’s clients are ready to put their accounts up for reviewing regularly, it can be known as one of the opportunities undoubtedly. The employees who are committed to their work and spend all their time to come up with the most creative and flawless idea for an ad- it surely is an opportunity for the company to flourish. Which makes everyone feel that they need advertising.

Threats

The world of advertising has now become highly saturated. there are trillions of companies to choose from. The threat of losing clients is always hanging over every company as well as this company too. If the Client asks the company to generate the idea for the product or service and then they say ‘we didn’t like the idea’. so there is also a possibility that they can steal the ideas and make the ad on their own. The new agencies are always a threat as they may try to copy the style of Crispin Porter+ Bogusky.

Recommendations:

Try to attract more clients and maintain the brand equity of Crispin Porter+ Bogusky maintain.&nbsp.

prepare and submit a paper on why should psychologists be interested in poststructuralism and postmodernism.

Your assignment is to prepare and submit a paper on why should psychologists be interested in poststructuralism and postmodernism. The aim of the literature review is to find how the critical theories of poststructuralist understanding came to be. In broader strokes, such a dissertation is an illustration of how language philosophies have a poststructuralism basis. There are proposals that depth psychology is a derivative from the same and ultimately contributes to the language philosophies informing the poststructuralist theories. For poststructuralism, the issue of language remains unconscious. According to Hardy (2006), the theorists adhering to divergent degrees of this viewpoint have their views on the review of such literature. Poststructuralism as described in the psychological theories by means of chapters for the revolutionary events is imminent. The poststructuralist discourse ideas are perceived through the psychologists’ words. Their story is a presentation on poststructuralism as responses to the deprivation of the language’s poetic meaning as well as in life.

The revolution becomes a critique for consumerism as well as capitalism while the Western ego becomes the affirmation of overall imagination and desire for communication. The happenings on a cultural level are a reflection of the relationship between personal subjectivity and language. Therefore, poststructuralism is relevant to the depth psychology study while the conceptual aspect of depth psychology approaches archetypal psychology. According to Shepard (2001), there are parallels drawn between archetypal psychology ideas and the poststructuralist’s beliefs. In seeking a more understanding of the concern on the language for in-depth psychology currently and reading post-Jungian and post-Freudian writers, psychologists may dismiss poststructuralist notions are relevant. Critical theories direct their emphasis on the depth connection of psychology with language as well as the unconscious. Poststructuralists develop such efforts with an impossible subversion of emotional ambiguities.

prepare and submit a term paper on False Memory.

You will prepare and submit a term paper on False Memory. Your paper should be a minimum of 1750 words in length. This paper discusses the concept of false memories based on the views of psychologists, Elizabeth Loftus, Garry Maryanne and Steven (Jay & Judith 67)

Psychologists have come up with numerous but varying definitions of what “false memory” can be. One should take into considerations that most of these definitions have, however, not scientifically proven. False memory can be described as the mental recollection of or pieces of information followed by a belief that the recollected information occurred when in the real sense it did not. A woman who occasionally locks her house, leaving her keys at the neighbour’s house can illustrate the concept of “false memory”. One day, the woman locks the door and walks away with the keys, but in the evening, she walks to the neighbour’s house asking for the same keys. The following are some of the views of different psychologists on the concept of false memory.

Being a reputable cognitive psychologist, Elizabeth Loftus is credited to have changed the way people viewed the field of psychology. In her research works, Elizabeth Loftus puts a lot of focus on human memory. False memory was therefore by default Elizabeth’s area of interest. Discussed below are some of the views by Elizabeth Loftus on false memory (Loftus and Ketcham 107):

Many human and environmental factors form a huge component of the factors that may cause the manifestation of false memory in an individual. Elizabeth Loftus opines that human beings live in environments where they interact with other humans unconditionally. The interactions with other individuals in a particular set up create automatic expectations amongst humans. Failure to achieve these expectations may affect human’s perceptions in different ways depending on the individual. However, the most common kind of environmental impact of humans that emanate from the environment is false memory (Loftus and Ketcham 108).&nbsp.By understanding the environment and different characteristics of humans, Elizabeth Loftus further categorized those factors that may be central to the acquisition of false memory in individuals (Loftus & Ketcham 430).&nbsp.

prepare and submit a term paper on Bill of Rights, the Amendments, and the Administration of Justice and Security.

You will prepare and submit a term paper on Bill of Rights, the Amendments, and the Administration of Justice and Security. Your paper should be a minimum of 2250 words in length. The first amendment states that a person’s beliefs and religion are to be respected. The Bill of Rights specifically states that there would be no law against the practice of any particular religious belief, custom as well as the establishment of any religious order. The Bill of rights also specifically states that any person is entitled to freedom of speech as well as the right to assemble and ask for petitions from the Government for any grievances made (“The US Constitution Online”, 2006). This amendment applies as long as the person is of legal age and he or she does not harm any other person. The U.S. government treats the first amendment as one of the most important amendments made as it is believed by the administration that this will set an example to other countries in the provision of freedom and liberty regarding a person’s beliefs and customs. (“National Security”, 2006). This amendment treats religion as a free choice granting a person the freedom to join and revere a religious group or not. With this, the government’s plans to line in religious practice alongside peace and justice will lead the way to a more harmonious existence between the government and the populace.

There is a multitude of religions that are established in the United States and U.S. citizens enjoy much freedom to choose their religion given that they are already of legal age. They may also choose not to join any religious group or order. In universities and other institutions, religion is not compulsory for students and employees thus freeing people from the pressures of religion on what they can and cannot do in their lives. The latest current U.S. government administration emphasized the creation of laws that are centered for the enrichment of personal honor and the protection of human rights which includes freedom of the press, freedom to choose religions, the exercise of conscience and religious assembly, and association (National Security Strategy”, 2006).

The privacy of a person is the main focus of the fourth amendment of the Bill of Rights. In this section of the Bill of Rights, people have the right to secure anything (papers, personal effects, and other personal property) in their private residences. Their properties are thus protected under law against any unauthorized searches and seizures. Search warrants are only issued when violations are made especially regarding the possession of illegal goods and substances. Seizure of illegal goods and substances will only commence when a sworn affidavit is made against the owners but until it has been proven, any residence could be monitored in accordance with the law. (“The US Constitution Online”, 2006). Privacy has always been regarded as a major issue not only by the Law but by the citizens themselves. Every person is entitled to his or her own privacy and to intrude or breach someone’s privacy only entails trouble. Although this is the case most of the time, the government can sometimes break this law under dire circumstances especially when the whole country is&nbsp.distressed due to some sort of national emergency involving security threats (“National Security”, 2006). &nbsp.
