For your last journal, I would like you to bring together your response to readings and discussions of the past few weeks including:  Iconoclasm and Falling Monuments, Street Art and Visual Protest and the call to Decolonize the Museum.  If you would like to think of this piece of writing as a warm-up to your final project, go ahead.  Do not repeat images or arguments from your last journal.

I would like you to consider the power of images and visual spectacle in public space including urban commons, public museums and educational institutes.  How do the spaces or institutional frameworks affect the viewing of these forms of visual culture?  How can shifting attitudes toward visual culture in these spaces work toward greater equity and social justice?  What is the future that you want to see and who is working toward it?

Describing at least three examples from class and/or the readings, and using some of Nicholas  Mirzoeff’s definitions of visual activism (you may want to discuss large-scale international movements such as Occupy, BLM or Extinction Rebellion).

Six years ago, Roberto acquired 500 shares of Roar Corporation stock directly from the corporation for $500,000 in cash. This year, Roberto sold 100 shares of the stock in Roar to Christopher for $40,000.

Required:

1. Identify at least three tax research issues regarding the stock sale you as Roberto’s tax advisor should consider? State each issue in the form of a question.
2. Do not attempt to answer the questions.
3. For at least one of the issues identified above, indicate the Internal Revenue Code Section that you would refer to in order to research the issue.

Instructions:

Your answers should be phrased in the form of a question.  Do not answer the questions.  A complete submission should include at least four questions in total.

Note that the questions you pose should be question that can only be answered by conducting tax research such as reviewing the tax code or case law.  It should not be a question of fact that can be answered by asking the client or reviewing the transaction documents.

 Reflections: Make sure that you are utilizing proper APA format. This includes a title page in the beginning and a reference page at the end. A running head and page number should be on the top of each page. Don’t forget to cite your resources within the text, as well as at the end on your reference page. It is important that you understand what the assignment is asking you to do. Make sure to demonstrate an understanding of the main issues by comparing the different points of views and utilizing supporting evidence. Utilizing outside resources assists in demonstrating a comprehension of the issues that are being discussed. Lastly, be careful of your grammar and wording. Make sure that your writing is clear and is not difficult to understand. The writing center is available to review your paper before submitting so that you can gain the best possible score.

Today I met with the client,we discussed the client’s insecurity and his anger management issues.   The client is having issues with his family and his tone of voice is very harsh.  The client will be starting family therapy and currently in marriage counseling.  The client has a lot of issues with himself.  The client is deaf in one ear and is also insecure with his height and has a cleft palate and required speech therapy as a child. The main problem the client has is lashing out at the family.  The client expresses that he is not happy with himself and also has social anxiety. The client is currently on escitalopram 10mg for anxiety. The client stated the medication has made me more calm.  He has been on medication for two years.  The client wife had enough with his anger issues. Client had issues with alcohol in the past and being sober for five years.
