Insight on freedom of speech became an issue way in the 6th and 5th century BC among the Athenians democratic. Later on, the Roman republic introduced both freedoms of religion and speech. The strides made at this time mark some of the earliest steps made towards ensuring that there is freedom of expression.In the contemporary world, there have been explicit guidelines on freedom of speech as expressed in various constitutions in the world (Harris, 2009). For instance, in the United States, freedom of expression is not total. the United States Supreme Court has identified several categories of speech.

Hence, they need to be restricted reasonably to the timing, manner, and place when they are used. Some of the major restrictions identified include obscenity, inciting imminent lawless action, child pornography, and regulation of advertisements to ensure that they meet minimum decency standards.Most limitation on free speech is made to balance human rights. They include limiting the use of other people’s words like those of authors in order to maintain their copyright. Further, there are limitations to the use of fighting words on colleagues.

Lastly, people are protected from the use of untruth words that may be used to harm others imposing a limitation on the same. The limitations are not only restricted to speech, but they are also applicable to various acts that may have significance symbolically. Limitations on freedoms of speech have to be observed to ensure that they do not infringe on human rights. At the same time, there is a wide range of implications on freedom of speech by different concepts like federalism, civil rights, and civil liberty in American society.

The freedom of speech has been shaped over time in relation to these conceptsCivil liberties are meant to protect human beings from powerful entities that include, the government, cooperation, and even individuals who are more powerful. Music is one of the most powerful of the arts partly because sounds- more than any other sensory stimulus- create in us involuntary reactions, pleasant or unpleasant (Jacobus & Martin, 2019).  Music has the power to change a mood, ignite excitement and happiness, and calm your spirit after a long stressful day.  It is an escape from the sorrows and pain of life and can be used as a stress reducer. Music therapy involves the planned use of music to treat physical, cognitive, psychological, emotional, and social needs of individuals and groups (Korusky, 2018).

In The humanities through arts chapter nine, Jacobson and Martin explain how music can be experienced in two ways: “listening” and “hearing”.  The hearer does not listen to detail, instead they concentrate on the rhythm and the melody of the music and what emotions it promotes.  The listener understands and listen to the details of the music, they know when the melody changed, and another instrument was introduced into the background (Jacobus & Martin, 2019).  For my choice is Blues and Jazz.  The personal reason I chose to discuss this type, is I grew up in a strict Pentecostal home, where music words were not only screened by mother, but if she felt the meaning was not Christian “like” it was forbidden to be played in our household.

But she allowed what she called “soft Jazz”, and I remember Saturday morning cleaning sessions and my siblings, and I loved when she would play Jazz loud in the house.  The blues was developed and popular in the African American communities and still to this day is an international phenomenon (Jacobus & Martin, 2019).  The music became an inspiration of hope to the African American people, allowing them to express their feelings through music.  They embraced it and held on to it.  Billy Holliday is remembered for her role in the genre of Blues and in 1997 a movie about her life was titled “Lady sings the blues”. “The blue to me”, Holiday told Time magazine in 1957, are like being very sad, very sick-and again, like going to church and being very happy” (O’Neal, 2016).  One of Holliday’s most memorable songs was “God bless the child”.  The song is enclosed below in the YouTube hyperlink.

Following the Chinese civil war in 1949, the government of the Republic of China withdrew their control of Taiwan. In 1952, Japan officially renounced all territorial rights in San Francisco Peace Treaty. The KMT ruled Taiwan as a single party state for four decades, until democracy was realized in the 1980s. These reforms which were instigated by Chiang Ching-Kuo who was then the leader in the mainland China were continued by his predecessor Lee Teng-hui, which eventually led to the first presidential election in the island in 1996.

The writer started by providing the gist of the story and eventually went into intricate details involving the plot, characters, and highlights to give the audience as much preview as necessary.

Scheib was likewise very professional in using the language and style of writing without being too verbose or utterly simple. Aside from the general overview that the film could not have appeared to be box office appeal, fans of Sarah Jessica Parker or Pierce Brosnan are still enticed to see the movie for all that is worth.

Rote/drill in teaching is simply defined as making the students to memorize the information by mere repetition. Most of the teachers in the today’s world employ this technique without even realizing the fact that they indeed are employing this technique. The biggest examples of rote learning are the alphabets, mathematical tables and statistical formulas. Rote/drill way of teaching indeed plays an important role in the today’s learning climate. It is the most easiest and efficient way to instill knowledge in students. It forms a solid foundation and base within students on which one can build intellectual superstructures. There is no way to learn arithmetic facts other than rote learning. It is also important in learning to read, for example helps read an alphabetic writing system to produce a phonetic reflex. Most of the time, rote/drill learning is used by teachers to make students learn difficult poems, drama scripts, music lyrics and symbols. Thus, it may be considered as an ancient technique, it is still prevalent in the today’s education system (Blumenfeld 34).

Discovery learning. an instructional and student driven model, provides an active and hands-on learning opportunity for students as compared to direct learning. teacher based, doesn’t involves students to a larger extent and is already formulated according to the teacher’s will. On the other hand, in discover learning, the students take on an active role to create, generate and integrate knowledge. This type of learning further aids students to learn at their own pace. Thirdly, students are made to learn new knowledge by affiliating scenarios with their past experiences ( Castronova 2).

Every now and then, we hear about students suffering from learning problems/disabilities in their respective classrooms. Some of the common learning disabilities are as follows. Dyslexia is defined as difficulty in reading, dyscalculia relates to difficulty with doing math’s, dysgraphia is recognized as students facing difficulty with writing, dyspraxia relates to difficulty with fine motor skills of students, aphasia is known as difficulty with language, auditory processing disorder is defined as problems in hearing differences between sounds and visual processing disorder relates to difficulty in interpreting visual information. All these are some of the renowned learning disabilities students’ face in their classrooms (Kemp, Smith and Segal 4).

Culture indeed has an effective role in terms of identifying and labeling disabilities. It greatly depends upon the society’s culture how they view different kinds of disabilities. They are various stereotype societies whose culture consider LD students as stupid and retard which actually is not the case. The society’s culture should inculcate “cure and relief” for all the people having disabilities rather than treating them as mentally retarded students. Culture can make or break students having learning disabilities so it should play a positive role instead of de-motivating such students (Bakken, Obiakor and Rotatori 50).

Scenario: Mr. Perez is a 76-year-old Mexican American who was recently diagnosed with a slow heartbeat requiring an implanted pacemaker. Mr. Perez has been married for 51 years and has 6 adult children (three daughters aged 50, 48, and 42; three sons aged 47, 45, and 36), 11 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. The youngest boy lives three houses down from Mr. and Mrs. Perez. The other children, except the second-oldest daughter, live within 3 to 10 miles from their parents. The second-oldest daughter is a registered nurse and lives out of state. All members of the family except for Mr. Perez were born in the United States. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and immigrated to the United States at the age of 18 in order to work and send money back to the family in Mexico. Mr. Perez has returned to Mexico throughout the years to visit and has lived in Texas ever since. He is retired from work in a machine shop.

Mr. Perez has one living older brother who lives within 5 miles. All members of the family speak Spanish and English fluently. The Perez family is Catholic, as evidenced by the religious items hanging on the wall and prayer books and rosary on the coffee table. Statues of St. Jude and Our Lady of Guadalupe are on the living room table. Mr. and Mrs. Perez have made many mandas (bequests) to pray for the health of the family, including one to thank God for the healthy birth of all the children, especially after the doctor had discouraged them from having any more children after the complicated birth of their first child. This paper is a critical evaluation of the factors that influence gang behavior.

Human beings are born innocent, free of sins, and incapable of making any decision. However, as they continue to grow, they are faced with numerous challenges ranging from family issues to other environmental factors, which influence their innocent minds either into becoming responsible persons or the worst of criminals in society. To begin with, parents contribute a significant percentage towards the success or failure of a child in terms of behavior. This is because they act as immediate role models and a source of inspiration for their growing children.

It is for this reason that Carlie (2002) observes that poor parentage is a major contributing factor to gang behavior. For example, if one or both parents are gang members, more often than not, it becomes likely that their children will follow that route. Many countries in the Asian region are taking steps to reduce piracy but the problem remains worst in the countries with highest growth rates. According to the news release by Business Software Alliance, worldwide piracy grew from 38% to 41 % from 2008.

The higher rates in piracy are attributed to the rise in the shipment of PCs to China and India. These countries are the high piracy countries. Main Issues to ConsiderThe availability of pirated software over the internet free of cost or a minimal cost is the main issue to be considered by the company. Internet laws in the Asian countries do exist but most of the countries such as Pakistan and Nepal do not take any action for the distribution of pirated copies of software. With the increase in broadband penetration and download speed, it is very difficult to manage the software assets by a company in Asian region.

Torrents and other sites on the internet which charge a minimal price from the consumers for software are increasing every day.However, the main problem for the software companies is not the home users but the small businesses and firms, which purchase non-branded PCs and get pirated software bundled with it (Business Software Alliance, 2009). Many managers in the Asian countries fail to implement the policies of managing their software assets and they purchase pirated copies of software in order to cut costs.

These managers and even owners to small and medium businesses fail to understand the benefits efficiencies of original software use. Most of the firms and management in these Asian countries do not get proper education or training on the issue of software piracy (Coombes, 2010). The global economic recession has caused many firms to give up their policies on software policies as they are not able to bear the huge cost of purchasing new software for their business needs. The buying power of the households has also fallen which is one of the many factors of increasing rates in piracy.

However, the company should not forget that the Asia Pacific is the hardest hit region by the economic crisis in the world. The future economic improvements in these countries are also uncertain as these countries are under development and not yet part of the developed world.Another issue that the software firm has to consider is the spread of internet access which is driving up the level of piracy. Over the next five years, 460 million users are expected to get internet access in developing countries (Business Software Alliance, 2009).
