Identify the assumptions being made by each stakeholder, and the apparent biases of each stakeholder; in doing so, quote the case.

case analysis outline

There is no “one best way” to write a report about your case analysis. The following outlines your instructor’s preferred case presentation format. Feel free to modify when and if it makes your analysis more clear. Use and adapt the provided Powerpoint template as the basis for your case presentation.

A. Introduction

in a few sentences describe the case

in a sentence or two, tell the reader how your paper will be organized, i.e. what the major sections will be and the order in which they will be presented.

B. Body (should include four major sections: identification of major stakeholders and their problems, goals and concerns; identification of problems; analysis of alternative solutions; recommended solutions)

Identification of Stakeholder’s Problems, Goals, and Concerns

1. For each stakeholder, identify events in the case that that stakeholder finds troublesome and would consider a problem; in doing so, quote the case.

2. Identify the assumptions being made by each stakeholder, and the apparent biases of each stakeholder; in doing so, quote the case.

3. Identify the goals (sometimes stated as explicit demands) of each stakeholder; in doing so, quote the case.

4. Then, as best you can based on the evidence of the case, identify the concerns underlying these demands; again, quote the case.

Identification of Problems or Critical Issues

1. Identify the key problems that must be solved. Explain with reference to appropriate concepts, theories, models, and/or research findings—and the evidence of the case. Quote evidence to justify your assertions. (Note: this is likely to be a lengthy part of your analysis.)

2. Also, identify problems that are less central but still deserving of attention, as well as problems that can safely be ignored for the foreseeable future.

Analysis of Alternative Solutions

1. Keeping in mind the whole array of problems that must be solved, describe two or three alternatives courses of action that might be taken to resolve these problems. Be specific and practical.

2. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of each course of action, with reference to the following: how the course of action is expected to resolve the key problems presented; how the recommended course of action will affect other remaining problems; how the recommended course of action will be perceived by each stakeholder; the difficulties you will encounter in actually implementing the course of action under consideration; how implementing the proposed course of action may create new problems; and, how uncertainties in your evidence and assumptions you have made during your analysis might affect the courses of action that you are considering.

Recommended Solutions

Present a detailed recommendation, based on your analysis of alternative solutions:

Present a rationale for your recommendation that anticipates challenges and counter-arguments.

Describe a plan for implementing your recommendations.

Describe the criteria that could be used to assess how well that implementation plan is working.

C. Conclusion

Briefly summarize the essential difficulties posed in this case and the relevance of recommended solutions.

Compare and contrast the three Sample Mission Statements below. Evaluate them for overall effectiveness addressing what is strong, weak, effective, or ineffective and state your reasons.

Part Two:

Create and briefly describe a fictional large company of your choice. This is your company and it should preferably be in your current or desired future industry. This company and the HR mission statement you create will be used as a foundation for future assignments in this course.

Use your analysis to write your own HR mission statement for your fictional company. Consider the following questions when evaluating and formulating your mission statement. Keep in mind that good mission statements are short, clear, concise, & brief hard-hitting comments on your mission.

 Why does your HR function exist? What do you want for your customers and how can HR provide that?

 Who are your customers and what can you do for them that will enrich their lives and contribute to their success, both present and future?

 What image of your function do you want to convey internally and externally? Customers, employees and the public will all have perceptions of your company. How will HR help create the desired picture?

 What level of service do you provide to employees and the company? Don’t be vague; define what will make your service extraordinary.

 What kind of relationships will your HR function maintain with customers? Every company function is in partnership with its customers. When you succeed, so do they.

 What underlying philosophies or values guided your responses to the previous questions? Some mission statements choose to list these separately (as core values or vision). Writing them down clarifies the “why” behind your mission.

 Does your HR function’s mission statement describe and support what your company will do and why it will do it (the company’s core values)?

(Read, then delete: This section is 1-2 paragraphs and anticipates and identifies likely internal barriers, roadblocks and challenges that may get in the way of the HR plan launch at Google, INC., and then, right here, plans for how to address these likely constraints to mitigate them).

Please write 1 to 2 pages of an operating plan for Google, INC. and fill in the required date below:

Implementation. (Read, then delete: Note that this section anticipates likely internal challenges that will be faced as reactions to the AHROP during the implementation and then plans briefly for them, using the 3 categories identified. First, provide a comprehensive introduction with appropriate academic citations to explain this, i.e., that there are always things that happen when change is implemented, because people react. *NOTE: the implementation phase is roughly the week during which the launch occurs.).

5.1. Constraints. 5.2. Collaboration. (Read, then delete: This section recognizes that HR cannot implement their plan without the involvement of others at Google INC., and so it plans for opportunities to create buy-in and support, builds trust, shared ownership, build teams and/or camaraderie, etc. This is part of the plan, so specific groups or departments are identified with a plan for how they will support the implementation of the AHROP).

5.3. Communications. (Read, then delete: This is essential a mini-communications plan for the implementation of the AHROP. This section plans for timely and carefully crafted messaging throughout the implementation of the AHROP during its different phases, to ensure that everyone who needs to know what is going on is informed at the right time).

6. Measurement and Assessment. (Read, then delete: Provide a general introduction with appropriate academic citations to explain the key concepts to readers of the plan about the use of metrics and their utilization, monitoring and reporting. Be sure to discuss the purpose and value of having measurements at Google, INC. and be sure to explain that HR has three specific categories of metrics – unlike companies that have four – then provide a transition into the discussion of HR metrics.).

6.1. HR Metrics. (Write a brief introduction for the reader of this plan that explains the value and use of metrics by the Corporate HR  to assess the progress and status of the AHROP, and be sure to explain that HR has three specific categories of metrics – unlike companies that have four).

6.2. Reports Metrics to the Organization. – short about 1-2 paragraphs.

How does this topic relate to philosophy? Why is the topic, or the points, relevant to philosophy, your life, or in a philosophical perspective?

I made an excellent grade on my last assignment.  In this assignment, I wish to have my final paper upgraded to include all the revisions my instructor has asked for in the message below. Add paraphrasing and scholarly sources where need. Any questions, ask!

Hi Ms. Hattie,

Thanks for submitting your week three paper. Overall, you have good sources for support, and you want to work on formulating your argument and position on the topic. Make sure that you update your introduction, include a strong thesis statement, and work on finding three main points for each side of your argument so that you have a complete research paper for the final. The final is the finished product of all your research that shows that you have mastered your topic and that your position (thesis) is indeed logical and rational. Therefore, you will be presenting your final argument. Make sure that you try to include a few more specific examples to help make your points stronger.

Academic writing is about your ideas, and you use the citations as support. Try to ask yourself how you can paraphrase the information you have copied and pasted in? How does this topic relate to philosophy? Why is the topic, or the points, relevant to philosophy, your life, or in a philosophical perspective? What do you think about the information you have read? Asking yourself these types of questions helps you develop your critical skills and content. You want your paper written in roughly 80 % of your ideas and words with 20% cited sources. You must cite all sources used to give that author credit for his or her work; it is not a good idea to use other students’ papers as sources.

Furthermore, when you cite sources, you want to try to stay away from copying and pasting and try paraphrasing. When you paraphrase, you are using your own words, but you are still giving credit to your source.  Also, you want to try paraphrasing and write more in your own words.

As I said, academic writing is a process that takes time, and it is about you expressing your ideas and points more, which is how you develop and strengthen your critical skills. I do understand that learning to write academically and APA formatting is challenging at first. This is one reason I try to post announcements with tips and hints to help all of you build and strengthen your writing skills so that you develop and strengthen your critical skills. This will also help you develop and improve your communication skills in general.

I do appreciate you, and I know that you will do great on the final. I want to make sure that you have a solid understanding of academic writing and how to include sources. Thanks, and please let me know if you need any help with this!

Thanks,

Professor Moore

Think of a time when you were involved in managing a conflict situation. Explain how you handled it. Looking back, is there another method you might use today?

Your journal entry must be at least 200 words. No references or citations are necessary.

Unit II Assignment

Course Project Proposal

For this assignment, you need to create a project proposal based on a fictional project. Review the Unit II Lesson for additional insight on the purpose of a project proposal and for assistance in compiling a project proposal. You may base your project on one of the following topics or a topic of your choice approved by your professor:

training seminar,

construction project,

department retreat,

new product development,

software development project, or other.

When you create the proposal, you should take into account the technical considerations, management considerations, and pricing considerations. However, you do not necessarily need to include these within your project proposal, as you will be performing a more extensive project later in the course. As for now, follow the model of a simplified project proposal, which will include the following sections:

Statement of Customer’s Needs: Communicate customer needs that will be fulfilled through this project.

Assumptions: Identify and briefly explain all assumptions associated with this project.

Project Scope: Explain the project using specific details as it fulfills customer’s needs.

Deliverables: Include specific deliverables expected by the completion of this project. This should include an analysis of the measures of performance.

Resources: Identify resources necessary to complete this project.

Schedule: Include a schedule that has real dates.

Price: Establish pricing strategies.

Risks: Identify the risks associated with the completion of this project. This should include an explanation of risks and rationale for continuing with this project. An analysis of the measures of performance through a look at the context of triple constraint should be reviewed in the risk section.

Expected Benefits: Clearly identify the benefit to be received by the completion of this project. This should include an analysis of the measures of performance.

Your proposal should be a minimum of three pages in length, and each section should be properly labeled using the subheadings above. If another person were to read your proposal, he or she should know exactly what is expected and what direction the project will take. This should be a general document with the intent of providing more details on these sections during Unit III and Unit VI.

Make sure you use appropriate APA-style writing and citations as you create your proposal. Also, make sure that you use 12-point Times New Roman font and that you double-space.
