Udon continues to refuse, then finally relents. Since Udon was heavily intoxicated, she fails the field sobriety test in spectacular fashion, so Porter handcuffs her and takes her to the station.

While in the car, Udon continually states that she is bleeding and needs to go to the hospital. Porter immediately assumes that, even if Udon is bleeding, it is probably because she is on her menstrual cycle and Udon was not to be trusted. After all, Udon gave Porter a false name, was driving in a car that was not registered, was driving intoxicated, and had neither a drivers license nor insurance. There was no reason for Porter to believe Udons story about having a miscarriage and needing to go to the hospital.

Toxic air pollutants emanate from natural sources or artificial sources that can harm the environment and human health where they cause cancer and reproductive health diseases (EPA, 2015). The presence of many manufacturing plants like Pepsi cola factory explains the high level of toxins in my locality. The release of toxic air pollutants from the industries into the environment can be through air, water, or land. FRITO-LAY INC released 347 lbs of toxins through the air (EPA, 2015). The ammonia chemical released represented 100% of total Air releases resulting from the fact that the company did not initiate any measures to prevent air pollution thus raising the level of toxins in my area (EPA, 2015).

I choose well water as my health risk. Well water contains Arsenic compounds that pose a health risk to people who consume water from the well. I identified arsenic in well water as my health hazard from the Unites States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Indeed, EPA defines arsenic as a naturally occurring compound that is odorless and tasteless but harmful to human health. EPA established that about 56 million people America were drinking well water with arsenic at unsafe levels (Natural Resources Defense Council, 2015). Arsenic in ground water emanates from human activities, manufacturing activities, or natural activities. EPA considers higher levels of arsenic&nbsp.as a ground water&nbsp.pollutant that derives long term and short-term effects. EPA advices citizens using well water to monitor its arsenic levels before consumption. EPA regulates arsenic in ground water establishing health and environmental-based standards through the maximum contaminant level (MCL), at 0.010 mg/L or 10 ppb (EPA, 2013).

In identifying arsenic in drinking water as my health hazard considered arsenic in drinking water as a risk since it would cause harmful effects to my health. Indeed, well water can cause short-term health effects like skin cancer, kidney failure, skin diseases, and harms the nervous systems (Natural Resources Defense Council, 2015). To identify arsenic in drinking water as a hazard, I followed EPA risk assessment module that included establishing the magnitude of arsenic present in water where arsenic is the dominant public-health problem for drinking water in America (EPA, 2012). I also established my level of contact with the arsenic where the many water wells in my locality and the continued of well water exposes me to the effects of arsenic in water. I assessed the inherent toxicity of the arsenic to establish the harmful effects it poses to my health where higher levels of arsenic found in ground water sources are detrimental.

Various factors increase my exposure and susceptibility to arsenic in well water and its short-term effects. Since water supply in my area is mainly well water, I always interact with the sources of higher levels of arsenic in groundwater. Indeed, my area has insufficient piped water that forces to use well water. Piped water also has considerable amounts of arsenic. Moreover, failure to test drinking water for arsenic exposes to arsenic in well water.

However, I can take measures to reduce this health risk. I can change the source of water from groundwater to other alternatives like buying water. I can also collaborate with colleagues and water system managers to ensure that everybody seeks to remove or reduce arsenic water pollution. I can also initiate testing on our well water to ensure that I monitor arsenic levels with a view of keeping them low.

This became his sole career throughout his life. He, however, is not conversant with what hobby he participates in, but is an avid saver and always comes up with methods of saving cash. He practices the catholic religion and is a believer of the Christian doctrines, he accepts as true that God and heaven exist. This is palpable in the actuality that he has faith that he will join up with his spouse in heaven (Birkeland et al. 2009).

As the article highlights, the elderly people are faced with several constraints, mostly physical, as they find themselves unable to cope with other activities. However, although such physical constraints put limits on the elderly level of activity, it highlights that they managed to perform other activities, which were not physically demanding for their strength. It shows from the study conducted that the elderly people who suffered from chronic diseases and injuries managed to adapt to the situation by accepting their status and conditions. In the conversation with the researcher, the interviewee also admitted having accepted his situation as an elderly and further ascertained of his illness. He believes that aging is part of being human and explains that, although it is sad to be incapacitated, to do things that one loved doing, and depend on others to do them, it is part of life&nbsp.and his destiny (Birkeland et al. 2009).

The interviewee further understands that at the senile age of 94, he is sickly, as he is suffering from advanced congestive heart failure, but dislikes going to the hospital and prefers the doctor to visit him at home. He is not subjected to other treatments such as alternative therapies apart from medical treatment. He spends his time watching his favorite religious shows on TV. As the article highlights of many elderly individuals, the interviewee receives home care for his health problems (Albert and Freedman, 2010).

He does not impress one as sickly as he possesses a normal appearance. he is neat and well groomed and behaves normally for his age. The researcher attributes this condition to the care and support the interviewee receives from his family. This ensures that the interviewee is not passive as the article highlights that this is critical in creating a daily rhythm to ensure that the patient is comfortable (Anno et al, 2005).

Conclusion

The researcher selected this person because he is disabled and totally relies on other for support and he ambulates with a walker while he is supervised. Coping with being elderly was difficult for the patient, but the help of his family was integral in his coping. This case indicates the nursing needs of the elderly and how having care around them benefits them.
