Post a description of the healthcare organization website you reviewed. Describe where, if at all, EBP appears (e.g., the mission, vision, philosophy, and/or goals of the healthcare organization, or in other locations on the website). Then, explain whether this healthcare organization’s work is grounded in EBP and why or why not. Finally, explain whether the information you discovered on the healthcare organization’s website has changed your perception of the healthcare organization. Be specific and provide examples.

March 21, 2010, was not EBP’s date of birth, but it may be the date the approach “grew up” and left home to take on the world.

When the Affordable Care Act was passed, it came with a requirement of empirical evidence. Research on EBP increased significantly. Application of EBP spread to allied health professions, education, healthcare technology, and more. Health organizations began to adopt and promote EBP.

In this Discussion, you will consider this adoption. You will examine healthcare organization websites and analyze to what extent these organizations use EBP.

To Prepare:

  • Review the Resources and reflect on the definition and goal of EBP.
  • Choose a professional healthcare organization’s website (e.g., a reimbursing body, an accredited      body, or a national initiative).
  • Explore the website to determine where and to what extent EBP is evident.

Modern applications can be complex and working on a programming team can raise that complexity even further. Classes offer a way to reduce that complexity by isolating teams from each other’s work. For example, one team can develop a class that includes all the necessary properties and methods for connecting the application to a database. Another team might develop a class that utilizes a remote Web service, such as package tracking at UPS or FedEx. Discuss possible classes that might be used in a distributed application, such as e-commerce, order handling or inventory management

Discuss possible classes that might be used in a distributed application, such as e-commerce, order handling or inventory management. You may include the two mentioned above and be creative in your posts. Suggest properties and methods for these classes and explain how the class might be used.

In your replies to fellow students, suggest additional classes that might be applicable, and discuss additional properties and methods that could be added to their classes.

For this assignment, evaluate the following items in relation to your chosen company:  Which stock market exchange is the company listed on?  Look at the past three years’ worth of stock activity for your company.  What is the average stock price during that period?  What was the high/low price?  Has the company ever initiated a stock split?

Research Paper: Part II

In this unit, you will continue researching the company that you selected for your paper (which will be the second attachment below). For this assignment, evaluate the following items in relation to your chosen company:

  • Which stock market exchange is the company listed on?
  • Look at the past three years’ worth of stock activity for your company.
    • What is the average stock price during that period?
    • What was the high/low price?
  • Has the company ever initiated a stock split?
  • How many shares of stock are outstanding? Authorized? Issued?
  • Would you invest in this company based on what you have evaluated? Why, or why not?
  • Compare this company’s stock to another company within the same industry. How does the stock compare in terms of price and activity? Explain.

Your paper must be at least two pages in length, and you must use at least two sources. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. This paper is already in APA 7th edition but please keep using this style when continuing writing this paper. I left an example of it which you can use as well (look at the third attachment).

By the way, I have two attachment below which is a study guide or overview of the unit which you can use to support your response. The Last attachment is the paper of the company I chose for this assignment which was Amazon. Remember NO PLAGIARISM & I need will need a PLAGIARISM REPORT upon completion.

Record the measurements for the vitamins and minerals of your three food items and two drink items. Feel free to take photos if you wish to post them, as well. Based on what you learned about vitamins and minerals in this chapter and/or outside research, are your food and drink items supplying you with sufficient amounts? Are there certain foods that have more vitamins and minerals than others that you found? Explain and support your answers.

You are going to take inventory of how many vitamins and minerals some foods and drinks you have at home contain. Select three food items and two drink items to analyze. Search on their nutrition labels and see what types of vitamins and minerals they contain.

In your discussion post you must:

  1. Record the measurements for the vitamins and minerals of your three food items and two drink items. Feel free to take photos if you wish to post them, as well.
  2. Based on what you learned about vitamins and minerals in this chapter and/or outside research, are your food and drink items supplying you with sufficient amounts? Are there certain foods that have more vitamins and minerals than others that you found? Explain and support your answers.

Physiologic Condition: what does the body look like when it’s receiving the normal amount of this micronutrient? Pathophysiologic Condition: what presentations, manifestations, and symptoms does a deficiency or excess of this micronutrient result in?

Google Slides or PowerPoint presentation on one micronutrient of choice and an associated dysfunction or disorder that arises from its deficiency or excess.

Description

The learning objectives of this chapter focus on the functions and general pathways of micronutrients: water, vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, and electrolytes. The chapter touches upon diseases stemming from deficiencies or excess of micronutrients. This assignment requires students to select one micronutrient of choice and give a short presentation on a disorder that comes from its deficiency or excess.

Students should be able to answer the following five questions:

  1. Physiologic Condition: what does the body look like when it’s receiving the normal amount of this micronutrient?
  2. Pathophysiologic Condition: what presentations, manifestations, and symptoms does a deficiency or excess of this micronutrient result in?
  3. Disease Pathway: how does this disease arise in the body, e.g. which organ or organ system does it affect?
  4. Considerations: what are some social, cultural, and economic considerations that involve this deficiency or excess?
  5. Treatments: how is this disease treated? If there is no cure, what other options for patients?

Students should also provide an organized list of APA-formatted citations and sources.

Assignment Content

Managers at each level of the organization use a type of SWOT analysis to identify strategies that will best position the company to achieve its mission and goals. The first step in a SWOT analysis is to identify an organization’s strengths and weaknesses that characterize the present state of the company. The next step requires managers to identify potential opportunities and threats in the environment that affect the organization in the present or possibly in the future. When the SWOT analysis is complete, managers begin developing strategies. These strategies should allow the company to attain its goals by taking advantage of opportunities, countering threats, building strengths, and correcting organizational weaknesses. Functions of management are plan, organize, lead and control. Levels of management are strategic, operational, tactical.

Demonstrate an understanding of concepts by analyzing and applying information. Do not just report on what you read or your experience/opinion. No more than 10% of response should be quotes. Attend live session or watch video for information on the assignment.

Use the company (Samsung) and SWOT analysis you selected in Week 1 for this assignment (Samsung was the company used in week 1) SWOT is an analysis, not a list.

Use at least one business journal article plus textbook as citations and references. Do not rely on company website as your only source.

Congratulations! You’ve been hired as a manager and have been asked to analyze the current status of your new company.

Review your company’s SWOT analysis and other available sources to evaluate the strategic needs of the organization within a changing global environment. Use the Wk 2 Apply Worksheet for your evaluation. Use APA format for citations and references required in the worksheet. Since the link does not always work, the work sheet is attached. Submit the worksheet as the assignment; do not submit as paper.

Respond to all parts of the worksheet with depth and details providing insights and analysis.

Note: This type of information is often found in the company’s annual report.

Submit the worksheet in Word document attachment; do not submit as a link, in PDF or write in assignment submission area.

Assignment Details

Create a Java application called “RateCalculator.” In this application, create a custom class named “Calculator.” In the Calculator class, create a method called “Multiply” which accepts two incoming integer variables. Within the Multiply method, create an integer variable to store the total, then calculate the total based on the two incoming variables. Return the total.

In the project class, within the main() method, declare integer variables named “firstNum” and “secondNum” and set their initial values to any number between 1 and 9. Create an additional integer variable called “output.” Then write code to declare a member of the Calculator class called “myCalc” and then utilize myCalc to call the Multiply method to calculate the result of firstNum times secondNum. Store the result in “output”, and present the result on screen.

Within the Calculator class, create methods similar to Multiply called “Add”, “Subtract”, and “Divide.” Create appropriate logic within these methods, and display their use in the main method of the project class. (These methods will not be utilized when the program runs, but the code must be present.)

Write appropriate in-line comments in both the project class and the Calculator class to explain each line of code in your program.

Summary:

  • Create an application called “RateCalculator”
  • Create a custom class with the name and features listed above
  • Create methods within the Calculator class to perform the calculations
  • Write code in the Calculator class (in the main() method) to execute the methods from the Calculator class

Your deliverable for this assignment is the NetBeans project you created using the steps above (ZIP the whole folder that contains the project).

Note: There is no user input in this program. The values that will be calculated are the values that you state when you declare “firstNum” and “secondNum”.
