Write a 9 pages paper on utilitarianism theory in daily life.

Write a 9 pages paper on utilitarianism theory in daily life. This paper aims at evaluating the utilitarianism theory based on its theoretical conceptions and practically relates it to real occurrences evidenced in contemporary society thereby giving it a holistic approach. This will be done through the exploration of various literature and sources in the databases that have relevant content to the topic. The paper begins with the introduction then proceeds to discuss the theoretical concepts of utilitarianism. Prior to the conclusion, a practical real-life experience that relates to the theory is studied. In the end, concise conclusive remarks are given as well as the general summary of the discussion

Every time the world crosses beyond the ethical marks, the result becomes condemnation, uproar, and interruption of peaceful coexistence (Gingell, 2013). This means that there are those lines that separate the right from the wrong, the good from the bad, and the acceptance from the disputed. Human behaviors are controlled by set social rules that guide actions such that those behaviors that are exhibited are justifiably authenticated and verified as pure and healthy in the social discourse. What has puzzled many in the past and even today is extracting the imperatives of these ethical standards. Who makes these ‘social laws’ that make people behave as they do? Under what guidelines or framework would someone struggle to save the life of another when they put their own on the edge? What brings the social order that is sought to be achieved by many societies?

In order to understand the principles under which humanity is embedded, several theories have been put forward. The utilitarianism theory is a consolidated conceptual theoretical perspective that has been embraced over a long period of time because of its comprehensive nature and outright clarity in explaining the mystery behind ethics and morality.&nbsp.

Write 5 pages with APA style on Euripides as a Poet of Ancient Greece. On the contrary, the most significant literary critic Aristotle declares Euripides’ works as the most inspiring and moving ones, which cater to all the conditions described by Aristotle as essential ingredients for creating and completing a great tragedy. Not only this but also Aristotle declares Euripides as the most tragic of the Greek authors. The present study analyses Euripides’ talent and bleak exposure concerning his famous play Hippolytus in light of Aristotle’s rules in his Poetics. &nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.

&nbsp. Aristotle (384 B.C.—322 B.C.) has defined the kinds and nature of poetry in his extraordinary Poetics (350 B.C.) According to him, there are two primary varieties of literature: 1. The Fine, and 2. The Mean. He has placed epic and tragedy in the excellent combination, and the satire and comedy in the mean array. Thus the great philosopher considers Tragedy and Epic as the refined form of expressing one’s views and ideas. It also shows that Tragedy has been declared a sophisticated piece of art. Aristotle also elaborates the unity of action essential for a fine selection of literature, i.e., in a tragic drama. Defining tragedy, he submits that a disaster is the imitation of a story that is serious and also, as having

magnitude, complete in itself. in appropriate and pleasurable language.

in a dramatic rather than narrative form. with incidents arousing pity and fear,

wherewith to accomplish a catharsis of these emotions. (Poetics: Part VI) He looks for the existence of coherence in the six essential elements in a great tragedy. These elements include plot, character, thought, language, spectacle, and song, which make up the whole of a highly refined tragic drama. The story, according to Aristotle, refers to the development being made in a tragedy and includes the incidents taking place in the drama rather than the central theme of it.

In the same way, theme simply means the main idea on which a tragedy has been created. The third essential element of a disaster is the characterization and nature of roles and actions played by the tragedy’s actors or characters. The fourth element defined by Aristotle is dialogue or diction applied in a drama. Aristotle looks for the sophistication and eloquence in the creation of exchange in a tragedy. The fifth of the Aristotelian elements includes rhythm and melody in speech and diction, which turns a tragedy into a more sublime form.&nbsp.

Compose a 1500 words assignment on skype forensics.

Compose a 1500 words assignment on skype forensics. Needs to be plagiarism free! So, digital forensic has become very essential and in fact a part of the overall security perspective of any computer-based industry, in spite of various challenges associated with the digital forensic investigation process. The increased use of Skype is resulting in an increased number of cybercrimes as the users take advantage of the anonymity associated with its use. But with the aid of apt digital forensic tools, valuable evidence can be retrieved and it can reveal the defendant’s activities. This report will discuss the various available tools that will aid the digital forensic investigation process, document the steps involved in the investigation process along with the challenges that have to be faced during the course of the investigation process.

The artifacts collected from a Skype conversation can be analyzed with the help of several investigation tools like ‘Skype chat carver’, ‘Belkasoft Evidence Center’, ‘Chat Examiner’, ‘Epilog’, ‘Forensic Assistant’, ‘Internet Evidence Finder’, ‘Skype Extractor’, ‘SkypeAlyzer’, ‘SkypeLogview’, and others (Mikhaylov 2013). It is very important to know where and how to recover the evidence like calls, messages, contacts, file transfers, and voicemails from a user’s accounts in order to utilize the above-mentioned tools in the forensic analysis process. The steps stated below will help in the evidence recovery process.

There are four users who use the Skype application in this example. The file named ‘shared’ is an XML file that contains the main configuration information like time of usage, IP address, and other useful information. Exploring the ‘shared’ file one can retrieve the Unix style time stamp information (Shaw 2014). Here comes the first challenge. This Unix style timestamp information is displayed in a coded format as a string of numbers, which has to be converted to a readable format.&nbsp.So, an investigator has to rely on online Unix time conversion tools to convert the string of numbers to an understandable time format. After completion of the conversion process, the Skype conversation time can be discovered.

Provide a 2 pages analysis while answering the following question: Dilution and Local Exhaust Ventilation.

Provide a 2 pages analysis while answering the following question: Dilution and Local Exhaust Ventilation. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. Ventilation is a widely used method employed for controlling hazards that are airborne. It is the process of moving contaminated air from a given work area and substituting it with clean air. The hazards that are removed include flammable vapors, toxic chemicals, dust, metal fumes among others (Nims, 1999). This paper seeks to analyse the local exhaust ventilation and the dilution ventilation and elaborate differences in their working principles.

Both of these systems work to remove contaminants from a working area. The contaminants are directed into an exhaust system where there are discharged into the atmosphere. These contaminants may pass through an air cleaner before emission into the environment. Both of the systems require to make up the air so as to replace that which is exhausted, failure to which would lead to a decline in the room pressures. Both systems employ fans, which create a pressure difference allowing the flow of air along with its constituents, such as contaminants, into the exhaust system (Nims, 1999).

Only small amounts of air are exhausted by the local exhaust ventilation compared to the dilution ventilation. This means that dilution ventilation will require greater amounts of cooled or heated make up air than the local exhaust ventilation (Nims, 1999).

The basic local exhaust of ventilation is comprised of the hood, ducts, cleaner, fan and exhaust stacks (Nims, 1999). The hood is placed near the source of emission of the contaminants. The ducts carry the contaminant in the local exhaust system. They should have minimal resistance to efficiency. Smooth and round ducts are ideal, and the flow rates in them should not be excessive as this will creates abrasion and noise.

Air cleaners eliminate the contaminants before exhausting the air. State or federal regulations dictate the type of air cleaner to be employed. Fans are regarded to as the workhorses in the exhaust ventilation system. They provide pressure differences to suction the contaminants throughout the system and into the outdoor environment. The exhaust or exhaust stacks discharge the contaminated air into the outdoor environment. They should not be located near the fresh air intakes, and they must have adequate flow rates to prevent re-entry (Nims, 1999).

The dilution ventilation employs large exhaust fans which on the roof of the building or walls. The fans create pressure differences for suctioning the contaminated air from the room. A fan may be required for enabling makeup air into the room to replace the exhausted air. The patterns of air movement and the placement of the inlet relative to worker location are critical in ensuring that the contaminated air is removed from the worker breathing zone. A plenum may be encompassed in the clean air inlet area for the system to be more effective (Nims, 1999).

In conclusion, ventilation is of paramount importance when it comes to the working area. The dilution ventilation system works on the principle of drawing contaminated air generally from the room. The local exhaust system removes contaminated air from a local source by utilizing a hood. It is more sophisticated and expensive to install but is best suited for toxic and highly flammable contaminants. Fans are employed in both systems so as to create pressure differences and allow for the suction of contaminated air away from the working area. This contaminated air is then discharged through an exhaust system.

For each scenario, complete an abbreviated suicide risk assessment and intervention form using the attached template. Determine the client’s risk level by analyzing the person’s desire, intent, capability, and buffers, then document what an ideal plan of action would be based on their risk level

Read the three scenarios below carefully. For each scenario, complete an abbreviated suicide risk assessment and intervention form using the attached template. Determine the client’s risk level by analyzing the person’s desire, intent, capability, and buffers, then document what an ideal plan of action would be based on their risk level (HINT: See the intervention chart in the Week 3 guided reading). For the purposes of this assignment, you should assume that the client is willing to acknowledge ambivalence.

Scenario A: Sal is 62 years old and recently retired from his job as a police captain in a small suburban town. He took an early retirement because his wife recently died of liver cancer and also because of a knee injury he sustained about five years ago. He has been seeing you for grief counseling since the loss of his wife, but today he seems more upbeat than usual. Sal still experiences a lot of pain from his injured knee. He has been given Percocet for pain, which he will often take in order to get to sleep. Sal was very proud of being a policeman and feels he has been “useless” since his injury. He did feel good about taking care of his wife during her battle with cancer but feels lonely and empty since she died. Sal visits her grave every day and says he cannot wait until he “joins” her. Sal still sees some of his coworkers from the police department and every so often they will go to the shooting range together. He mentions that he has been clearing out his home, saying “I don’t want my kids to have to deal with all that junk when I’m gone.” When you ask him about suicide he admits to some ideation but denies having a specific plan.

Scenario B: Maria is a 19-year-old college student in her sophomore year. She told her roommate that she has been feeling depressed over problems she was having with her boyfriend. Recently, Maria found out that her boyfriend was cheating on her with a mutual friend. When she confronted her boyfriend, he denied the accusations and told Maria that she was “just being paranoid and crazy,” but seized the moment to break up with her. Maria is feeling angry, sad, and hopeless. She won’t get out of bed and has been missing classes. She did well in her freshman year but is receiving a scholarship and is afraid that if her grades drop she’ll lose the scholarship which means that she’ll have to return home and attend a local community college. Maria reports that she feels overwhelmed. She thinks that nothing she does will make things any better. She reached you by calling the hotline of a mental health clinic today because she felt so “upset” that she was considering taking her roommate’s prescription medication and washing it down with vodka. Maria mentions to you that she was in counseling while she was in high school after her parents separated. Maria describes feeling “lifeless and hopeless,”  having no energy or motivation to do anything. She also reports that nothing is really enjoyable to her anymore and that as a result, she has become increasingly reclusive, preferring to be alone. Maria also states that she has not been eating or sleeping very well. She states that since the problems with her boyfriend began she feels she doesn’t have anything to live for.

Scenario C: Beth is a 24-year-old separated mother of a 10-month-old daughter. She called the hotline of the local mental health clinic today because she felt so depressed that she could not get out of bed.  Beth explained to the hotline crisis worker that she has felt this way for the past six months. Beth described feeling hopeless and says that she has no energy to do anything. She also said that nothing is really enjoyable to her anymore, and as a result, she has become increasingly reclusive and prefers to be left alone. Since Beth’s husband left her to run off with one of her best friends, Beth thinks  she doesn’t “have anything to live for.” When questioned directly about suicide she admits to “thinking that at least death would take this pain away,” but denies intent. She later mentions that she tried to cut her wrists a few days ago when she received a copy of the divorce papers, but “lost the nerve” and could not go through with it. “Besides,” she said, “I could never leave my baby all alone, with no one to look out for her.”
