In the recent past, the automotive industry has experienced an increase in competition. In order to provide customers with quality products and services, manufacturing companies have been forced to adopt effective models. For instance, companies are being forced to re-design their product development process to identify and control the noise factor limits, and then come up with appropriate countermeasures. By distancing products from failure modes, companies can then be able to improve reliability. The importance of using failure mode avoidance (FMA) methodologies is supported by many researchers. This paper examines the application of this concept within the automotive and manufacturing industries.

In the modern economy, it has become imperative to produce quality products that are appealing to customers. With this in mind, car manufacturers constantly improve their production processes and their designs. The concept is very suitable in the face of growing recall cases, and a perfect example can be borrowed from the Toyota Company. In 2013, the company recalled 1.3 million vehicles due to airbag defects, and this exercise is expected to cost the company over $55 billion. In 2010, the company suffered a similar problem occasioned by the pedal entrapment malfunction. Since then, the company has conducted other recalls, and Ahsen, (2008) suggests that such incidences could have been avoided by implementing the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis programs. The FMA approach helps the manufacturers to identify high-risk characteristics and develop appropriate measures to avoid potential failures. The current rules and regulations require the automotive industry to use multidisciplinary teams to identify failures and defects. The technical team is required to identify the following three types of failure modes: materials, processes, and costs. The concept of failure mode avoidance was first used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) group in the 1960sand was later adopted by the Ford Motor Company in the 1980s. Since then, the concept has been extended to the healthcare industry. In this sector, the concept is being employed to reduce the number of medication errors, and evaluate the effects of the failure modes. The next sections examine the application of the concept in the automotive industry.

. In this scenario, in a DDoS attack, a target is attacked through heavy data traffic flooding the target coming from a large number of different locations and systems. In fact, sometimes these attacks are launched using thousands of compromised computer systems. As a result, it becomes almost impossible for the system administrator to avoid the attack by not allowing a single system. In addition, as a result of this attack, a system administrator cannot differentiate between attack traffic and authentic user traffic because of a large number of points of origin.

There are many countermeasures that can be adopted by a system administrator to deal with this attack. A system administrator can apply a variety of restrictions on the amount of traffic that can be processed by their server. However, it also makes it difficult for a system administrator to differentiate between legal and illegal traffic. Additionally, the system administrator can also filter the traffic if they can identify the source of the attacks. In addition, a variety of other techniques can also be applied such as the use of intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and so on (Webopedia, 2014. Strickland, 2014).

Session hijacking is also a very common security threat in which an attacker takes control over the session of a Web user by secretly attaining the session ID and using their ID to demonstrate themselves as an owner of that ID. The basic purpose of this attack is to access a legal account illegally and making use of this account to carry out illegal activities. For instance, once an attacker is able to access an account illegally, he can use this account to conduct different acts such as using the network services, copying or destroying data and a wide variety of other tasks. Basically, an attacker gets this session ID from URL (universal resource locator) in which a cookie stores this session ID. Whenever a communication procedure is launched between a client and a server, an authentication process is established and an attacker takes advantage of this process by interfering online.

Every society has specific characteristics like its concept on the right roles of women and men. Biography refers to specific experiences that give people their life orientations. As typical career development theory plus practice has cantered on the requirements of a person who can access education also, work that is in line with their goals, interests, and values, most people in the world do not have such benefits. Psychologists have looked at the influence of social class, race, sexual orientation, and gender in career development (Punch 215).

Economic growth and development is a topic that is of interest to economists and political scientists (See1). Economics defines economic growth as the increase in the market value of goods and services that are produced in a given economy with time. It is usually measured as the percentage rate of growth of real Gross Domestic Product. In economics, economic growth is used to refer to the growth of potential production at full employment. This is different from economic development, which is the study of economic elements of the development process in&nbsp.developing countries.

As the rise of technology makes television take precedence in most of the activities that the media engages in, it appears that, irrespective of the programs aired on television, there is continuing violence and nudity (Bushman & Bonacci, 2002). This paper discusses two American shows: Game of Thrones, and Transformers films. While television is informative and domineering in contemporary society, it is bad to American society because even though it underscores the need for entertainment, television also motivates brutality and immorality with people’s perceptions of the shows.

Pathos captures the emotional appeals that television portrays to the American society and those that have the capacity to inaugurate a “relationship” with the audience. For example, pathos will be used to describe specific scenes in the TV shows to create a personal link with the audience by reiterating the thesis statement that TV is bad for Americans. Ethos will be used to validate the main points using transitions to bring out factual evidence that support the successes of TV shows in moving the masses. For example, the use of supporting information about cable TV ratings rising due to the shows it airs to the public. In order to make most arguments logical, this paper will use logos by quantifying data, such as percentages and approximations to illustrate the extent to which television shows transforms behavior. The stronger usage of logos to construct a more viable argument will encourage both the audience to grab the explanation to the main ideas.

Media houses always seem to portray the notion that a series of nudity and violence in these shows keep viewers not only glued to their screens but also to specific channels. Currently, most American shows display a lot of skin, making women and girls think it is the right way to dress and entertain themselves. The gender representation in TV&nbsp.portrays women as sexually attractive, stereotypically taking on the characteristic of the commercial models and actresses. For example, in Transformers I, Megan Fox poses erotically in one of the scenes in which she leans over the hood of her car to attract motorists (Murray, 2014).

The fact that a fetus is a living human cell may make such a human being. However, the stages of development of a fetus influence the definition of a fetus in proving whether such are humans or not. The moral aspect of the definition is equally important and Warren uses such to prove that abortion is morally acceptable. Warren argues that a fetus lacks rationality and self-consciousness two vital features that influence the definition of morality. With such a conclusion, she thus argues that abortion is morally acceptable since a fetus does not qualify as a human being.

Warren provides an in-depth analysis of the factors of the case key among which is personhood and the right to life. She explains that the factors that constitute personhood include the ability to reason, consciousness, ability to communicate and self-concepts among others. Such are basic features that are indeed provable in every person. The author of the article uses the above factors to prove that a fetus is not a person. This makes a fetus right to life equally contentious.

She furthers her argument by beginning the discussion on the stages of a fetus and its right to life. A fetus begins developing immediately a sperm fertilizes an ovum. She argues that the early stages of pregnancy, the fetus is like a clot of blood and lacks any feature that would make it resemble a human. She sets out to explain the various developmental stages of a fetus since a number of people have often argued that at advanced stages a fetus is grown a feature that makes an abortion a murder. She contends with such arguments explaining that maybe the government should set a limit beyond which abortion is illegal. Despite such, the author maintains that the morals in the society permit abortion given the fact that a fetus is not a human being and that a fetus lacks the moral sense.
