Write 2 pages with APA style on American culture has infiltrated and marred China culture

Write 2 pages with APA style on American culture has infiltrated and marred China culture. Letter to the Editor In a way, the of cultural infiltration has become a matter of concern across the world. It must be stated from the outset that the world is actually inundated with thousands of different forms of culture arising from the diversity realized across the board. However, courtesy of the agents of globalization, technology and other forms of interaction, some of these cultures are becoming eroded while others have completely been swallowed up under the wave of new cultural infiltrations. In this regard, American culture and Chinese cultures are some of the most dominant cultural orientations across the world. Considering the greatness of America and the potential realized in China, it is indeed important to expect some form of cultural infiltration between these countries.

On the arguments as to whether American culture has infiltrated Chinese culture, it is actually important to note that the United States has been a major player in global affairs for a long time and the American cultural orientation has been widely adopted in different regions. China has a very rich and elaborate culture which is still confined in the great country. Much of China’s culture has not actually spread across the world. While this culture has infiltrated some parts of the East, its presence is still minimal to make any considerable impact. In this case, it is not really true that Chinese culture has infiltrated American culture. Perhaps the worry arises out of the rampant growth realized in China’s economic and political dominance across the world. China is making a strong entry into certain regions like Africa and this raises the major concern regarding the spread of Chinese culture in such regions.

It is much easier for American culture to infiltrate as compared to Chinese culture. Considering that English is the language of communication in America and many other countries across the world, the American culture has a much greater possibility of infiltrating Chinese culture than the vice versa. One impediment to the infiltration of Chinese culture across the word is the language. Chinese language still has a very small presence across the world and this therefore limits the spread of the culture. Similarly, many people are still much reluctant to appreciate and fully accept Chinese culture as part and parcel of their daily operations (Sanvictores, 96).

It is indeed true that American culture has infiltrated and marred Chines culture in many parts of the world. As China seeks to create a strong presence especially in the developing world, it encounters a series of challenges in relation to American culture. Part of this cultural hindrance arises out of the common assumption that American culture is superior to most of the other cultures. In this case, people might always want to be associated with this form of culture and not really the Chinese culture (Sanvictores, 56).

In addition, America has greatly mastered the art of cleverly spreading its culture and making many people to adopt some of the things it deems proper. In China today, many people are greatly trying to adopt the western way of life by learning English and practicing some of the cultural practices realized in America. This is because some of these practices are considered universal. On the contrary, not many Americans are keen or focused on learning Chinese or adopting living by the Chinese cultural orientation.

Compose a 500 words assignment on introducing paulaner beer in indonesia (demographics sections)

Needs to be plagiarism free! Introducing Paulaner Beer in Indonesia (Demographics Section) Paulaner is a German alcoholic drink introduced to the market by the Minim friars in 1634. While the beer has been dominant in the market, it has had its equal share of challenges when entering some markets. This paper seeks to discuss the stumbling blocks that Paulaner Brewery may have when introducing the beer in Indonesia. The paper will further look at how and why these challenges would affect the company in the country.

Stumbling Blocks that Paulaner Brewery may experience in Indonesia

Among the challenges that Paulaner Brewery would face in Indonesia is lack of a sustainable market. Home to the world’s largest Muslim population, the issue of alcohol consumption in Indonesia has raised debates in the country for a long time with the current debate revolving on the possibility of banning alcoholic drinks in the country. Although the rate of alcohol consumption in the country remains relatively high, strong Islamic beliefs held by most Indonesians has made it difficult for investors to invest in alcoholic beverages. Consequently, most alcoholic beverages consumers in Indonesia are tourists. However, some Indonesian youths engage in alcohol drinking although this is mostly restricted to urban areas (Grant 98).

The country’s ban on alcohol advertising on media would also mean that Paulaner has limited platform on which to market its products. As a way of regulating alcohol consumption, the government of Indonesia in 1990 banned alcohol advertising on media which has since made it difficult for new entries in the market to thrive. Other forms of alcohol advertising in the country are also governed by strict rules further making it difficult to reach new markets.

Laws on certification on alcoholic products in Indonesia are also strict and can involve a long process before one gets a license. The country further classifies alcoholic beverages in the closed business field meaning that commercialization of any business related to alcoholic beverages is illegal (Grant 98). Consequently, businesses in this industry are restricted from expansion through investment. When the above factors combine, they present a significant challenge to any investor planning to invest the alcoholic beverages industry in Indonesia.

Factors that Might Negatively Impact on a Business

Among the factors that might negatively impact on a business is poor quality products coupled with poor customer services. Equally detrimental is the effect of negative actions by an employee within a business more so when it comes to dealing with clients. Additionally, irresponsible financial management that includes ill-advised investment can also impact on a business negatively. As a short term intervention, it is critical to ensure that a business’ goals are centered on the satisfaction of customers’ wants. Long term strategies include continuously ensuring customer satisfaction, studying market trends to establish key areas to invest in as well as creating a brand reputation.

Conclusion

Establishing a product in market requires adequate prior planning that ensures the product can compete with rival products. While a company can influence some factors that affect the introduction of a product in a new market, some factors such as government regulation and religious beliefs can be challenging to address. It is, therefore, critical to study a market before deciding on its viability to support a specific product.

Write a 5 pages paper on the main causes and effect of high school bullying. From these factors that promote bullying, it is apparent that the power imbalances that favor and promote bullying could be social, economic, and physical powers.

Although bullying affects the bullied more than the bully, the stereotypical notion that the bullied is never affected by his/her actions should be revised. That is to say, the portrayal of a bully as some tough and self-confident individual who conquers all his/her victims no longer stands. Besides harming their victims, high school bullies are also emotionally, physically, and psychologically affected by their actions (Carey, P. 89). In fact, psychological instability has been identified as a major cause of bullying tendencies in high school bullies. It can therefore be asserted without fear of contradiction that ‘true bullies’ are quite rare since most bullies are also affected or bullied by their actions. This paper, therefore, explores the causes of bullying and the emotional and psychological effects of high school bullying on bullies.

Despite the recently reported increased awareness of bullying in high schools, little has been achieved as far as reducing the causes of bullying in schools is concerned. This situation may be because the identification and the tackling of the real causes of high school bullying are still quite big challenges to parents and teachers. There are numerous causes of high school bullying that are however quite apparent and concerned parties such as teachers and parents should take them into account. In other words, it appears that the only effective solution to high school violence is the identification of a variety of reasons for which high school students become bullies. The first cause of high school bullying is frustration. The cause of frustration in these cases could be impairments and such impaired students may be resentful if such impairment is not being recognized.

Create a 1 page page paper that discusses the effects of water diagrams

The effects of water diagrams Task: The hydrologic cycle The sun’s energy leads to evaporation from water bodies leading tothe formation of clouds on condensation. Cool air in the landmasses causes precipitation of the condensed vapour. The precipitation causes runoff of water across the landscape back to water bodies. The evaporation also occurs on land adding to that which occurs on water bodies.

Creating desert landscapes

The main factor that triggers the formation of desert feature is wind. The movement of the wind coupled by the extreme temperatures in the deserts are the key causes of desert landscape. Hot air rises and spreads northwards and southwards. The air releases its wetness content over the tropical regions creating a low-pressure region. The poles are the origin of dense air descending due to the high pressure. The descending of dense air toward high-pressure tropical zones results in hot dry winds. The resultant wind is devoid of moisture and blows over North Africa, North America and Middle East hence, the desert in the above regions (Concord, 2012).

Glacial action

The descending of glacier results in the creation of features. However, the process is gradual. Glaciers create feature by scouring the earth and depositing material in diverse areas. They drag along rocky material, which is embedded in the glacier. The rock particles scour the earth surface creating certain feature such as horns and arêtes. Additionally, if the gravel emanating from glaciations is deposited it is regarded as moraine. For glaciations to generate distinct features, massive quantity of ice is necessary. However, the receding ice caps have resulted in reduced glaciations (Pidwirny, 2006).

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an article on Consumer Price Index, Retail Price index and GDP deflator. It needs to be at least 250 words.

CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, RETAIL PRICE INDEX AND GDP DEFLATOR of Mankiw p. 43) definesConsumer Price Index (CPI) as an economic tool used by economists to measure changes in price levels of goods and services consumed by urban households. While referring to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, Wisconsin University (2012) defines CPI as the determinant of the average periodical changes in the prices paid by urban households for goods and services consumed. Wisconsin University (2012) further clarifies that CPI does not cover or consider changes in the prices of other commodities like security, water and health among others.

Retail Price Index (RPI) refers to an economic principle used by economists to determine the set of goods and services that a typical household is capable of buying every month (Feenstra, 2002, p. 7). Items covered by this principle include food, housing, heating, petrol and bus fares. According to Grant and Vidler (2000, p. 14), Gross Domestic Product deflator (GDP deflator) is a principle in economics used to measure average prices of all new and final products produced locally in the economy of a given country. The GDP deflator is a crucial economic tool used by leading economists in an economy to determine by what extent a change in the GDP of a given year relied on the price fluctuations of locally produced goods and services (Tracy 2007, p. 21). When regarded collectively, the principles of Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Retail Price Index (RPI) can help in controlling inflation in given products in an economy. For example, the two principles can help a government to determine and fix prices of certain basic goods like food and shelter.

Provide a 2 pages analysis while answering the following question: Humanities and film. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. Films and our Humanity To relate the significance of films in the field of humanities, it is important to consider how humanities is defined and understood in the academe. According to the Humanities Council of Washington DC (2001, p.2), humanities are “the disciplines that help us understand and define cultures, and human experience”. Being the study of human condition, the humanities explore how a person views and makes sense of the world around him.

As such, one of the ways to showcase one’s idea, feelings, and views of the world is through the art of filmmaking. It is considered as an art mainly because it brings “aesthetic stance to its viewers” (Prinze, 2007, p.9). In other words, the moving images we see on film largely represent a filmmaker’s vivid imaginations and creative expression resulting to an artistic creation. Consequently, this depiction of feelings and ideas through film affect our emotion and move us. so much so that it enables us to reflect about the condition of our own existence and time here on earth.

Indeed, what makes film a significant art form is that it reveals an artist’s portrayal of an idea or situation that deeply touches our humanity. A filmmaker’s task goes beyond recording footages and presenting them to general viewers. Like any form of art, film making involves a rigorous task of carefully choosing the right composition of shots and capturing vivid emotions to achieve the desired cinematic movement and expression.

In this way, film enables us to reveal our humanity because it allows us to relate and reflect on the moving pictures shown to us on screen. When we watch a film, it shows that we are human beings with fragile emotions when we start to cry over a dramatic act or laugh at a funny scene. Our emotions are impulsively reacting what to what we see – which is merely the result of a filmmaker’s artistic expression and interpretation of a narrative plot.

Moreover, the significance of film in the study of humanities is revealed on how stories are created and interpreted to reveal our human condition. Some films tell stories that depict our present reality, in such a way that its primary purpose is to mirror what is going on in our society. On the other hand, some films revolve around our imaginations which describe stories about the “dream life of our culture” (Wall, 1998, p.1).

Because human stories and aspirations are depicted on film, we are able to transport ourselves into a different place and see how other individuals live. By seeing a different perspective on things, we are able to think of ideas which have never entered our mind. In this way, we are able to reflect about the things that matters in our lives. For instance, after watching a thought provoking film, we are able to examine ourselves and our way of thinking.

The fact that films provoke our thoughts shows that it has the power to arouse our imagination and captivates our senses just like any other forms of art. Watching films has become a significant part of human culture that it enables us to examine the world around us, in the same way as we read great works of literature. These revelations on the significant roles of film in our lives only show that it has the power to confront the personal, social, historical, and cultural challenges we face in our day to day living as human beings.

prepare and submit a term paper on She walks in Beauty. Your paper should be a minimum of 500 words in length.

. She Walks in Beauty An Appreciation “She Walks in Beauty” by Lord Byron is a beautiful romantic poem. It describes the beauty of a woman, whomthe poet must have known very intimately. He is all praise for her inner and outer beauty. The excellent words he chooses to describe the physical and moral features of his beautiful lady make the poem melodious and it invokes in the reader the image of some beautiful figure he cherishes secretly. This paper gives a brief personal appreciation of the poem.

The first line of the poem, “She walks in beauty, like the night” (Byron), like the title, catches the attention of the reader. An insatiable urge to know the full details of her beauty grips the reader. However, the comparison of her beauty to the night immediately casts doubts, because the conventional attitude in literature has been to compare beauty to something which is bright. This confusion is immediately lifted with words like “cloudless” and “stars”. The third and fourth lines of the poem, “And all thats best of dark and bright/ Meet in her aspect and her eyes” (Byron), give an excellent description of her superb beauty. Darkness helps the stars to project their glow to their best. Similarly, the dark dress the lady wears promotes the glow of her face. There is a heavenly grace, says the poet, in the glow of her face.

The poet now tries to convey the personality of the lady which her external beauty reflects. “One shade the more, one ray the less” (Byron) would have made her beauty slightly imperfect. The word “grace” now replaces the word “beauty”, because the poet moves from describing the outer features to express her inner qualities. The poet says that “the nameless grace/ Which waves in every raven tress” only shows “how dear their dwelling-place” is (Byron). Her thoughts are “pure”, and they are “serenely and “sweetly” expressed through her face. Thus, the poet has succeeded in turning the attention of the readers from their initial impression. They now realize that the lady not only walks with her physical beauty, but also carries with her a graceful soul.

In the last stanza, the poet devotes three lines to repeat the greatness of her physical beauty by using the word “glow”, in stead of ““beauty”, and then spends the last three lines to explain her moral nature. On “that cheek, and oer that brow/ So soft, so calm, yet eloquent” (Byron) sit the smiles and glow. They speak about her human nature, of her “days in goodness spent”. She has “A mind at peace with all below” (Byron). The apt choice of words makes the poem colorful and meaningful. For example, the word “meet’ in the fourth line of the poem gives the required stress to the central idea, emphasizing that all that is best, “dark and bright/ meet” in her. The punctuation is also important. The first line of the poem ends without a pause, and the beauty of the lady is carried over to the second line to establish its likeness to the “starry skies”. The rhyming, ab ab, in the first stanza is replaced with each line in the second ending with the “s” sound. The last stanza has rhyming in the first four lines as in the first stanza, and the last couplet uses repetition in order to achieve the emphasis of “A mind at peace with all below”. The poem now ends with more stress on her moral side.

The description of a beautiful woman with a graceful heart, who lives a life of serene qualities and always loves peace, is the essence of the poem. A look at Byron’s biography can throw light on the lady who inspired the poet to pen down one of the most beautiful romantic poems in English literature. The poem, like the title “She Walks in Beauty”, moves beautifully and gracefully throughout. All aspects of a lady come for scrutiny in the poem.

Create a 2 pages page paper that discusses wal-mart to spend $50 billion on products made in america.

Create a 2 pages page paper that discusses wal-mart to spend $50 billion on products made in america. Wal-Mart’s move to increase its sourcing from goods made in the United s Wal-Mart has decided to source more goods locally in the next ten years for an estimated budget of $50 billion. This is contrary to its well-known strategy of sourcing from foreign markets.

Objections from Wal-Mart’s critics

Wal-Mart’s critics objected to the use of foreign suppliers because they felt that Wal-Mart was exploiting these foreign suppliers unfairly. Another thing that informed Wal-Mart’s critics to its former strategy is their stance that Wal-Mart was not being patriotic to its home country. I disagree with critics objection that it was exploiting foreign suppliers unfairly because it is the prevailing economic forces in Wal-Mart’s foreign market that attract it to them. Wal-Mart should however source goods locally because it would demonstrate its esteem in the production capacity and economic wellbeing of the United States (ABC News p2).

Social implications of Wal-Mart’s announcement

Local manufacturers are one of the groups that stand to benefit from Wal-Mart’s decision to source goods in the United States. 1881 Mills is one such manufacturer that will benefit from the extended contract that it has struck with Wal-Mart. Suppliers dealing in highly-automated production are the other group that will benefit from Wal-Mart’s move. The public stands to benefit from the additional jobs that will be created by these local manufacturers and suppliers in order to meet Wal-Mart’s increased demand. The economy of the United States will benefit from the improved production that this move will bring (ABC News p3).

Wal-Mart’s obligation to workers in its foreign markets

Wal-Mart has an obligation to provide workers in China and other foreign markets who will be displayed by Wal-Mart’s new strategy with time to adjust and find other jobs. Corporate social responsibility would require that as an employer, Wal-Mart should factor in the welfare of the people who will be affected by any of its policy decisions and one such group of people are these workers. Wal-Mart should care not to terminate its foreign sourcing quickly because this would leave many of these foreign workers jobless. This can have devastating effects on the lives of these workers and, by extension, the economies of their countries (ABC News p3).

Implication of Wal-Mart’s decision on consumers

Wal-Mart’s decision to source more goods locally means it might have to charge more for such products and this will have direct impacts on local consumers. This will dig deeper into my consumer surplus and I might have to consider buying certain goods from other stores. I however have an ethical responsibility to buy U.S.-made products even if they cost more because this will contribute to the growth of the economy of my home country. Ethical responsibility requires that as a consumer, I should go beyond caring for my personal financial wellbeing to considering how my buying patterns influences other people and the nation at large (ABC News p4).

Implications of Wal-Mart’s announcement on the industry

In conclusion, Wal-Mart’s announcement might raise the domestic competition amongst retailers. This is because sourcing goods locally will be viewed by Wal-Mart’s move as one aimed at increasing its popularity among Americans and by extension, its local market share. Competitors like Target might react to Wal-Mart’s announcement with apprehension that might make them to lower their pricing to compete with Wal-Mart’s relatively low prices (ABC News p4). Target also competes with Wal-Mart on style and it might have to diversify its style. Wal-Mart’s announcement might also force other companies to consider a similar strategy in order to get a similar market share in the home country.
