Media have significant impacts on society and politics. Misuse of media in itself can result in numerous challenges in society. Too much of a thing is pestilential. There are disadvantages to the media. Parents should ensure their kids are safe while online as not all individuals are well-intentioned, and even beware of the content that the kids seek from the media (Lowe, 2013). Most of the television content is not appropriate for all audience and have age limits. Such content influences the opinion of the public. Media has also been associated with high rates of violence, crimes, bullying, and culture shock. Many of these contents influence the way the public think and act politically. The research seeks to know if politics has any influence on the political decisions of people. It will seek to identify if the media directs the public on what to think and what to do.

The sermon explains the way life must be changed for being in the grace of God. Interestingly, this piece of advice is well contained throughout the sermon. The historic context of the sermon involves the desire of Jesus to set forth a new kingdom. Though this kingdom is of a spiritual context, it is to be achieved through the deeds and ways of the worldly human. Thus the rules and the preaching as made by Jesus in the Mount Sermon are quite relevant in the concurrent context of global peace and tranquility. The context of the message is thus not confined to the people of Israel, but to the whole world and its people.

Thruston (350-52) has opined that the mount sermon does not merely relate with the ethics of religion, but it acts as a catalyst in the shaping of the audience auditors in the direction of covenant faithfulness. This must be read together with the fact faithfulness to the teachings of Jesus would mean to adhere to a policy of forgiveness directly leading to peace and tranquility. The UN peacekeeping operations are established with the objective of addressing the insecurity challenges affecting the population. The shift to the third generation peace-keeping operation has been attributed to the fact that the internal conflicts in Africa, as well as the Middle-east, are not a result of economic, territorial, or infrastructure threats. These operations are set up to address health, food, cultural, environment, economic, personal and political insecurity (Fen 283). The internal conflicts in Somalia are said to be attributed to poverty, hunger and political instability.

The traditional peacekeeping methods have been characterized by failure when applied in Africa and the Middle East. A good example was the attempts by the UN to resolve the conflict in Somalia in the ’90s. In the third generation peacekeeping operations, the UN employs both military and nonmilitary aspects to address the insecurity challenges. The military aspects include training of the police and the military forces of the state country instead of deploying foreign troops (Beebe 100). Military training also encompasses technology and infrastructure development. In other situations, a combined force of the police and the military personnel is established to address the pressing issues.

Other military aspects involve the maintaining and enforcement of the rule of law (Munson 211). This involves the training of the judicial system as well as the anti-corruption units on the maintenance of law and order. It also involves restoring peace by disarming the conflicting parties. In Somali, this has been applied to ensure that innocent civilians are not killed, yet the Al-Shabaab are disarmed and arrested. It also encompasses facilitating elections and implementation of a government in case of a totally collapsed state.&nbsp.

Craig opts to tackles the question of whether it is ethical to terminate an innocent life from the perspective of natural laws.
