  • Watch the video “Are You Sitting on a Million Dollar Idea?”  Instead of creating a new or revamped product for this discussion The Beauty Bar, you will analyze the lifecycle of an existing product.
  • Choose a product that has been on the market for a few years and describe how the product has evolved throughout its lifecycle.  Describe the basic product in the introductory stage of the lifecycle.  How did that product evolve in its growth phase – were new features added, for example?  When the product reached the maturity phase of the lifecycle, how did the product continue to evolve – were additional brand extensions created, for example? Finally, if the product has reached the decline stage, how would you now describe the product?

Provide a 1 page analysis while answering the following question: Explosions in the USA.

Provide a 1 page analysis while answering the following question: Explosions in the USA. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. The Imperial Sugar dust explosion occurred four years after the U.S. Chemical Safety Board (CSB)&nbsp.had conducted a study into the risks presented by dust explosions after three prior severe accidents in 2004. Unfortunately, all the recommendations the CSB made to the&nbsp.Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) had only been partially acted on e.g. the outdated methods and construction materials that added to the severity of the Port Wentworth fire could have been detected. On the other hand, the BP Texas City Refinery disaster was the result of gross negligence on the part of its management and workers. Rigot (2007) clearly outlines the Baker Panel’s findings on the incident. BP’s US refineries did not comply with its own internal process safety standards, process safety leadership was lacking and the work environment encouraged procedural noncompliance (7-15). Southwest Industrial Gases and CAI Inc. may have not directly been culpable for their explosions because of the difficulty to judge whether the causes were accidental or intentional. However, the Bastian Plating Company’s poisonous gas incident was unacceptable. The night-shift leader avoided all precautions. Secondly, it is unacceptable for a team leader in a chemical plant to unknowingly create hydrogen cyanide.

Conclusion

With the level of expertise, technology, and knowledge in the US, most industrial explosions are preventable. Rigot (2007) cites the major causes of the explosion to be latent organizational weaknesses, lack of effective reporting and learning culture within organizations and focus on injury and illness statistics rather than on process safety by both organizations and OHSA. In conclusion, Davis and Hansen (2009) propose that companies need to perform consequence analyses for their facilities to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future (42).

Compose a 3000 words assignment on the shaping of maritime policy.

Compose a 3000 words assignment on the shaping of maritime policy. Needs to be plagiarism free! The policies made can be good or bad depending on how they affect the working of a given institution. Good policies aid in making the functioning of a body to be smooth and improve its output. On the other hand, bad policies hinder the working of the institution and make the lives of those being affected by those laws to be hard. The maritime policy is the policy that affects the shipping industry and determines the activities that are carried out in that industry.

Over the years, the formulation of the maritime policy has been an easy process compared to the implementation of the same policy. This has been attributed to various reasons the main problem being the lack of resources and means to undertake the implementation process (Fabbri, 1992, P.166). The implementation is hindered by the fact that many people are not interested in marine issues unless it is something like a sea accident.

In many countries, matters related to marine fall within many sectoral divisions that are concerned with various marine resources and uses. The resources are under the authority of different departments which produces the fragmentation of efforts that are directed in the implementation of a policy (Fabbri, 1992, p. 167). The maritime policies are formulated then implemented based on sectors without interagency consultation which makes it hard to carry out a policy. Therefore, the policies are not structured in the perspective of marine development priorities.

Some maritime policies are made in response to the crisis and thus are motivated by short-term objectives (Fabbri, 1992, p.167). These policies become hard to be carried out in the long term as they may be counter-productive to the needs of the nation. Many countries lack human resources that have the skills and knowledge required to implement the newly formed maritime policy as it is a complex process which involves dealing with conflicting and competing values and uses, and where&nbsp.technical issues dominate over the social and political ones.

Create a thesis and an outline on History of Eastern Philosophy.

I need help creating a thesis and an outline on History of Eastern Philosophy. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. Taoism, also known as “Daoism, is an eastern religion and philosophy” (Bretzke, pp. 141-145), which is more than two millenniums old. Statistics reveal that there are more than 225 million followers of this religion. however, the numbers are doubtful since many of its followers accept it as a philosophy and associate themselves with Confucianism or Buddhism at the same time. The founder of this school of thought, Loa Tzu, lived a few years before Confucius (Bretzke, pp. 141-145). A comparison of Confucianism and Taoism would reveal that Confucius has built upon many of the teachings of Lao Tzu has many of his teachings are an evolved form of Taoist ideals. Loa Tzu believed that the best way of achieving happiness is to stop complaining about the way things are going, sit back, and let nature take care of things (Bretzke, pp. 141-145). His way of doing things is not by doing anything. He believed that everything in nature has a life and shared a force in the total universal forcenergyerefore. humans should align their points and power with that of the universe to achieve satisfaction.

Taoism believes that every person has a Yin (the dark side) and Yang (the light side). The best way is to keep them balanced to lead the best life. Furthermore, Taoism also appears to be in line with anarchism, which believes that there should be no rules or regulations formed by the government. Some Taoists have gone to say that there should be no governments since it is against the principle of “doing by doing nothing” (Leaman, p. 74-76). People should have the right to decide everything for themselves. Taoism also traces its roots in three treasures of three jewels, which are compassion, moderation, and unity, which also have the meaning of kindness, simplicity, and modesty (Billington, pp. 36-39).

&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp.&nbsp. Confucianism is one of the most influential religions and philosophies in East Asia, with more than 1.5 billion followers alone in that region (Billington, pp. 36-39). Founded by Master Kong or Confucius during the 6th and 7th centuries, Confucianism believes in the people’s internal power of strength. Rather than controlling people like animals or objects, he thought that humans should be proactive rather than reactive.

Write 5 pages thesis on the topic biography of kahlil gibran.

Write 5 pages thesis on the topic biography of kahlil gibran. Kahlil Gibran’s father was Khalil ben Gibran and Kamila Rahmeh, who was the daughter of a Maronite priest, was his mother and his siblings were Peter, Mariana, and Sultana, and the family was part of the Maronite Catholic Church. Because of his family’s insufficiency, Gibran did not obtain formal education during his youth, but the local priests taught him Arabic and Syriac and the bible (Layton 13). Although he was born in an underdeveloped and deprived family, Gibran worked hard to achieve his ambition and this enabled him to become of the most famous artist in the world. This essay explores the life of Kahlil Gibran, his early life, work, death, and legacy.

In 1891, Gibran’s father was detained and jailed for fraud and as a result, the authorities took control of the family property and this even left the family poorer. Thereafter, Gibran and his family moved to the U.S. After his father’s release in 1895, his mother was still determined not to return back to Lebanon and so she moved to New York taking with her, Gibran, and his siblings. They settled in Boston’s South End, which was the second-largest Lebanese American community in the United States (Maleh 75). Gibran attended Quincy school in 1895 and was placed in a special class for immigrants in order to learn English, and here is where he was mistakenly registered as Kahlil Gibran (Oweis 135).

Gibran joined an art school at a nearby settlement house, and his teachers introduced him to one of the artists, photographers,s, and publishers called Fred Holland. Fred was optimistic about his efforts and so he gave him enough support and helped him to pursue his dreams. His support for Gibran’s creative efforts was seen when he included some of his drawings on his book covers in 1898. Gibran’s mother and brother were not comfortable with his effort to learn the Western culture. Therefore, they pushed him to go back to his motherland and learn his own culture and heritage and at fifteen years, went back home and studied at a Maronite-run preparatory school and higher education institute in Beirut known as Al-Hikma.
