write an article on religion #4 african american spirituals

Hi, I am looking for someone to write an article on religion #4 african american spirituals Paper must be at least 500 words. Please, no plagiarized work! Reflection on African American Spirituals In his article Paul Harvey (2001) outlines the historical traditions in the African American spirituals. The origins are traced back to the late eighteen century when Baptists and Methodists movements began to preach to black slaves. Although the mission to bring the Gospel was connected to teach the slaves to be more submissive, they interpreted Christianity values and morals in their own way suiting their physical and emotional purposes. The church was transformed into a unique slave religious culture and African Americans developed distinctive rituals bringing together elements from their African past. The religious life included ring shouts spirituals and chanted sermons. The spirituals in particular resemble an amalgam of evangelical hymns, black traditional songs and black southern folk music.

As the spirituals can not be attributed to any specific author, they represent the communal voice of the slaves who trust their faith in God. The call-and-response pattern followed in the spirituals, speaks that there is a dialogue between them and God. This indicates their innermost hopes for spiritual as well as physical freedom. The interpretational meaning of the spirituals is a decoded message for freedom from slavery. The author provides several examples to prove his argument, showing the Biblical connotations that most of the spirituals have. With the spirituals the African Americans are looking for awakening, to keep the faith both in God and in their hopes for freedom at last. In the article Harvey has listed several spirituals, illustrating the direct relationship between the slave who is singing and God. In the example of spirituals a double meaning can be felt. The word “home” can be interpreted as safe place, however it may also mean “Heaven”. Heaven is the place where everyone is free, thus the meanings of the spirituals is converted to reinforce the dream for a free country.

The African American spirituals can be related to other humanitarian course materials such as anthropological, ethnographical and sociological. The emergence of spiritual churches combines purely ethnographic description together with the song texts and other ritual, religious gestures. One of the general questions that anthropology seeks to answer is “Why people behave the way they do?” So we can relate this anthropological quest and why to explain why African Americans found shelter for their minds and souls in the spirituals. On another note, cultural anthropology studies the beliefs and cultural practices of people. So we can include a research on African American religious rituals and the spirituals as part of the cultural anthropology. In sociology we can explore how African Americans constructed their own social reality thanks to the spirituals.

Harvey (2001) points out that the spirituals were an active expression and affirmation of African Americans of their humanity as individuals, “against the dehumanizing system of treating humans as property (140).” The patterns of the spiritual show a dialogue between God or the community and their personal sorrow, joys and aspirations. In the performance of spirituals the African Americans shared the worship to God as well as the act of communal support for each other.

Further reflections on African American spirituals can be related to their role as spirits’ guardians and what historical role they played both for African American religion and the U.S. history. As we know from Harvey’s article the spirituals were incorporated in anthems and freedoms songs during the 1950s and 1960s contributing to the freedom struggle. African American spirituals have a profound community-building power, adding to the heritage of American culture.

Provide a 10 pages analysis while answering the following question: Leadership Accross Cultures. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. The importance of understanding culture in a workplace drew the attention of Hofstede. he decided to analyze the cultures across the world by means of large and quantitative research (Bing, 2004).

Most hospitality and travel companies have realized the significance of international business. Despite this realization still, very few can offer training programs to prevent misunderstandings that occur as a result of intercultural interaction. Customer satisfaction for services offered depends on management and supervision of individual service encounter. Service providers that provide their employees with effective training achieve better results.

Organizational culture needs to be managed through effective leadership. For this reason, it is important to properly define organizational culture. It is not an easy task to arrive to a definite description, but some basic questions need to be answered. These include:

In a wider sense, culture serves to describe varied groups of people based on the extent to which each group is perceived and how a specific group relates to worldly features, which could be living or nonliving including spiritual divines. Historically, culture is said to develop slowly by slowly as each group creates certain patterns of behaviors and beliefs that tend to help them in a way, to effectively solve their day to day problems.

As a community lives together, new behaviors crop up and are associated with certain values and beliefs. Furthermore, this is reinforced by rituals, myths and beliefs. It then forms a formidable culture. Apart from the fact that culture enables people to have a sense of belonging, it further provides a means of distinguishing between different groups with different behaviors (Willcoxson and Millett, 2000).

Cultures can be dynamic. any changed circumstance leads to incorporation of new patterns or ideologies. As new systems are introduced into the environment, new patterns of behavior are adopted.

Customer Orientation in the Pricing Strategy.

I will pay for the following article Customer Orientation in the Pricing Strategy. The work is to be 8 pages with three to five sources, with in-text citations and a reference page. Quite often marketing management can be defined with the consideration of the following definitions of the marketing: “…an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders” (Armstrong & Chandler, 1998).

Our present research is also linked with the other subdiscipline of marketing management, known as strategic marketing that encompasses the sphere of the marketing analysis. It is important for my research due to the fact that in order to create an appropriate marketing pricing strategy the company has to make a thorough analysis of the main spheres of the company external and internal factors. Originally marketing analysis incorporated three main spheres and was known as “3Cs”: Customer analysis, Company analysis, and Competitor analysis. However, the latest researches added this list and now we can propose the model of “5Cs” marketing analysis: Customer analysis, Company analysis, Collaborator analysis, Competitor analysis, and analysis of the industry Context (Brown, 1993).

However, in order to establish a correct pricing strategy, it is not enough to analyze the environment. After the company defines its strategic objectives, chooses its target segment of customers and finally creates the appropriate positioning, it proceeds to the second stage. This is the implementation of the chosen strategy. Many scholars define “4Ps”, which constitute the implementation planning of the company. They are Product management, Pricing, Place and Promotion (Jensen, 1998).

submit a 250 words paper on the topic The Value of Art.

Hi, need to submit a 250 words paper on the topic The Value of Art. Art offers a universal connection among people, who appreciate art and it is meaning to their lives and society.

Art has a great value monetarily, not only because it can obtain high prices, but also because it inspires artists to continue their craft. In the world of the arts, artists are either making money or struggling and poor. Despite the lack of financial compensation, highly-paid artworks drive artists to continue making art that has different purposes and meanings. They believe that they are making something that has eternal value to present and future generations. The monetary value of art also inspires young artists, which ensures the continuity of the arts.

Art also has social significance because it connects people, as they find personal and/or collective meaning in art. Art becomes a manifestation of the highest achievements of humankind when people find something valuable in it. These values provide eternal life to artists and their works. For those who appreciate art and find it valuable, art changes people’s thinking and actions. Sometimes, art can also help change the world and turn it into a better place.

&nbsp.

Art has financial and social values because people provide these values. It is through their appreciation and interpretation of art in their lives that breathes purpose into art. Art is not always just something to be seen and consumed aesthetically. Sometimes, it also provokes intelligent thoughts that can spark individual and collective changes. Sometimes, art can also transform societies and make humanity work toward their greater humanity.

prepare and submit a paper on event and mysteries surrounding apollo.

Your assignment is to prepare and submit a paper on event and mysteries surrounding apollo. Apollo was a son of Zeus and Leto. He was born under difficult circumstances as his mother, Leto was on the run all over the earth looking for a peaceful place to rest and give birth. Hera, the wife of Zeus was caught up with jealousy after discovering that his husband was expecting a child with his lover Leto (Hugh, 17). Thence, this led her to give Leto a chase so she could not get a place to rest and give birth. Luckily, Leto was able to find a place on Delos island where she was received warmly and after nine days of labor, she bore twins, Apollo and his sister Artemis. Themis gave aid to Leto when was giving birth. Zeus became pleased and welcomed the twins giving them both silver bows and arrows. He also assured Themis that she would not be bothered in matters concerning marriage as she could live freely if she never intends to be married. Zeus gave to Apollo a golden and magnificent chariot that was pulled by swans.

After the delivery, Leto had little strength to continue. Apollo was born under a palm tree which later became a sacred place on the slopes of mount Cynthus. Before the birth of Apollo the island Delos was floating but their delivery became anchored to the earth.

Upon the birth of Apollo, Themis gave him ambrosia and nectar which made to rise and requested for a bow and a lyre. He then made a declaration that he was to bring the men of the world to the realm of his father. This made Delos glad and wrapped herself up with golden flowers. The birth Apollo is believed to be in the seventh month according to the ancient tradition. This made the seventh month sacred to him that it was celebrated after through sacrifices and festivals according to Hugh (36). Apollo was known as the god with the bow and arrows. He never tolerated the wicked and the&nbsp.overburdening whom he punished and destroyed. He never missed hitting things from afar with his darts as he was thought to be good at it.

Complete 8 pages APA formatted article: Relationship between Flexible Working and Work-life Balance.

Complete 8 pages APA formatted article: Relationship between Flexible Working and Work-life Balance. Many companies hence offer a range of flexible working options. The employees benefit due to flexible working as it enhances work-life balance as more women have started working outside the home. However, while both sides agree that flexible working ensures work-life balance, there is no research on which are the jobs in which flexible working could be beneficial, which are the areas where regular staff becomes essential and whether flexible working does benefit the employees and employers or is it just a passing fad? Hence the purpose of the research is to asses the real benefits that would help the managers in the decision-making process.

Flexible working is most prominent in the hospitality industry and hence the research would be focused on the hospitality industry which would include hotels, restaurants, and pubs. The significance of the research in this sector is heightened because this sector has the highest attrition rate in the industry. This research would have to be conducted by engaging the employers and the employees to get the right perspective. Both sides of the opinions matter to arrive at the right conclusion. The strength of the research lies in an honest opinion from both sides and only then can the outcome lead to the right decision making. However, it may also happen that the employers are not in a position to register a true and honest opinion or the employees are not equipped to understand the benefits that they derive from flexible working arrangements. This would render the research process ineffective. Hence the selection of the respondents or participants for the study has to be done with discretion.

The hospitality industry is a people-focused and labor-intensive service industry (Chapman & Lovell, 2006). Employee turnover in the hospitality industry has been a major cause of concern. Employees tend to stay with an&nbsp.organization when human resource practices are sound and offer a comfortable work environment for the employees.&nbsp.

Write 2 pages with APA style on Analysis of Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts by Les and Leslie Parrott.

Write 2 pages with APA style on Analysis of Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts by Les and Leslie Parrott. Book Review Parrott, L III, and Parrott L. (1995) Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts: Seven Questions to Ask Before (And After) You Marry. Grand Rapids, Michigan: Zondervan. 158pp.

This short book by Les and Leslie Parrott is a self-help book for people who are considering marriage, or who are already married and may be looking for ways to improve their marriage. The authors are a married couple, consisting of a psychologist and a marriage guidance counsellor, and their professional expertise is evident from the way the book is written. The main approach is to tell anecdotes about people, their problems, and how they resolve them. Most of the names are pseudonyms, presumably to protect the confidentiality of information obtained in the course of therapy or counselling.

The book is structured around seven questions such as, for example “Can You Identify Your Love Style?” (p. 31) or “Have You Bridged the Gender Gap?” (p. 91). These questions lead into thematic discussion around each specific issue. They are not the most obvious questions that one might think to ask, but they do proved a useful structure for the book. The first chapter deals with the “Myths of Marriage”, or in other words, the unrealistic expectations that newly married couples often have of marriage and of each other. The advice given is low key and sensible, such as for example making unexpressed rules and wishes explicit so that each party knows what the other expects.

One of the weaknesses of the book is that it tends to be very simplistic in its approach. In chapter 3, for example, the question being addressed is “Have You Developed the Habit of Happiness? (p. 53). It relates a story from the early part of the authors’ marriage when one of them had a tendency to be negative about everything in their relationship, including their relative poverty compared to their neighbours, the state of their clothing, and even the habits of the other partner. A moment of inspiration changed all that, however, when Les was in a statistics laboratory and could not understand how the computer could make lightning speed calculations of complex statistics. The Professor passed by and explained that it had to do with each iota of data being given a positive or a negative electrical impulse, and that human brains were similar, stamping impressions with a positive or negative tone. The professor also said “Unlike computers, however, humans develop a habit of programming their minds to be either mostly negative or mostly positive.” (p. 57) This insight was a life changing experience for Les, who from that moment onwards decided never to let circumstances determine his mood. Unfortunately, however, life is just not so simple for most people, and it is likely that many readers would be put off by the glib exhortation to be happy no matter what.

A more positive contribution is made by the last chapter, which deals with the spiritual dimension of marriage. The recommendation here to find ways of getting involved with charity work, child sponsorship, or other joint activities which couples can do together while achieving some good in the world, is good advice. The exercises which accompany each chapter, and the further reading indicated in the notes at the end are also good features, making this a moderately useful book for general use, even though it is somewhat superficial in its analysis of marital relationships.

writing homework on Community Health: Health Promotion or Health Education Intervention.

Need help with my writing homework on Community Health: Health Promotion or Health Education Intervention. Write a 2500 word paper answering; Today, there is a shift to the abuse of prescription drugs. These include opiates, antidepressants, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics and other drugs used in mental disorders (MacKinnon et al. 164). This paper will elaborate the development of a health promotion intervention that is aimed at tackling drug abuse in Wichita.

Wichita is one of the most affluent cities in Kansas State due to its economic growth. This economic growth is attributed to industrialization and urbanization of the city. Despite this flourishing economy, Wichita serves as a prime drug consumer market, as well as a drug trafficking hub. Drugs from Mexico and other towns easily access this town through the Southwest Border. The drugs are then distributed in the town by various street gangs to teenagers as well as adults. The drug mafias smuggle the drugs into Wichita using the national highway and distribute them using a network of street gangs (Transformation Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centre [further on, TDATC]).

The city’s nightlife and risk behavior among the residents has predisposed the town to drug trafficking. Wichita city has various night-clubs and discos which serve as a lucrative market for the sale of drugs. In 2009, the USA National Survey on Drug use and Human Health estimated that about 18% of the residents in Wichita engaged in substance abuse. This figure was higher than the national figure which the NSDHH estimated to be at 8.87% (TDATC). According to the local police, the majority of crimes and deaths in the city are attributed to drug trafficking cases. It is also reported that death rate associated with drug abuse in Wichita is higher than the national average. This is mainly attributed to the fact that the drugs are easily smuggled and distributed in the city. In addition, there are many illicit methamphetamine manufacturing laboratories distributed in the city.

The drugs which are mostly abused include cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine.

write an article on Superior Manufacturing Company.

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an article on Superior Manufacturing Company. It needs to be at least 750 words. This research will begin with the statement that considering the income statement and results of analysis of the profit and loss account by each item and factory, Waters’ decision to decision to keep product 103 was not rational, at least in the short run. This is because the company was operating at a loss and a decision to streamline causes of the loss was necessary, considering the tight competition in the industry. Analysis of products’ costs and revenues identified product 103 as the major cause of the company’s realized loss and its elimination would help the company in reducing its loses. In addition, and even though the company is less differentiated than its competitors are, focusing on stopping production of product 103, would promote the company’s specialization and this, together with focusing the resources on the remaining two products would empower the company towards competitive advantage, based on economies of scale and efficiency. Possible increase in operating income by at least $ 688, would however justify Waters’ decision to retain product 103. This is because the change would eliminate loss that the company suffers and would eliminate the urgent need for streamlining operations. In either case of operating income, Harvey’s position remains realistic. The researcher states that analysis of possible cost and revenues for the two options informs the decision to reduce the price or not.
