You will prepare and submit a term paper on Week 7 posts 6330. Your paper should be a minimum of 250 words in length. Hello Eliza Smith, The post on the nursing program known as Associate Applied Science is beneficial to the pursuing this field. This programneeds evaluation to improve its effectiveness and demonstrate accountability (Billings & Halstead, 2012). I am impressed about the evaluation model that you chose to determine the mission. The mission is very important, especially in redefining program goals and outcomes to lead to a successful program.

Hello Valencia Johnson,

The post regarding the Chens Normative Evaluation model to be used in the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is impressive. The fact that its goal is to educate the students shows that there is focus to the beneficiaries. The evaluation of the relationships at home and the workplace is important since these two are closely related.

Hello Kayla Hammer,

The post regarding the evaluation model you chose to educate registered nurses in the local hospice was very interesting. I support the fact that the hierarchical model you chose is useful in that it uses multiple aspects to form the evaluation. These aspects include the process, outcome, content, impact, and the program as a whole (Keating, 2011). The only proposal is to look for a wide range of feedback mechanisms to improve the efficiency of the evaluation.

Hello Erlinda Gonzalez,

The formative evaluation model you chose is very impressive. This is because of the ready availability of the tools to measure input, processes, support systems and outcomes (Keating, 2011). The use of an accrediting agency review to improve this program quality increases its efficiency. This is good in that it helps to recruit the right faculty, and student recruitment.

prepare and submit a paper on game theory as a logical study of the behavior between two firms.

Your assignment is to prepare and submit a paper on game theory as a logical study of the behavior between two firms. An example of Game Theory would be if Company X makes product X, and Company Y makes product Y. A third company, Company XY, buys product X and Y to produce product XY. Company X, Company Y, and Company XY would be named as players under the Game Theory. If Company X raises the cost of their product, Company XY is affected. The rise in product X’s cost could even affect Company Y, if Company XY’s chooses to increase the price of their product with the result of lower sales of product XY. Game Theory has a few elements that are important to mention. As mentioned before players are one element, the other elements include payoffs, actions, and rules. Players are the actual firms. Payoffs are the rewards or punishment of the players in the game. In the scenario above, Company X could have been punishing Company XY or rewarding Company Y, depending on the circumstances. Actions are the decisions made by the players. The rules define the players, actions and payoffs. This makes up the basics of Game Theory.

An oligopoly is a couple of large suppliers controlling a particular market. The market concentration is normally high. Companies encompassing an oligopoly produce brand quality products. Barriers exist for firms on the outside an oligopoly, due to the necessity of brand quality products the firms on the inside of the oligopoly produce. The interdependence between companies in an oligopoly is vital. Each company in an oligopoly must anticipate what the other companies/players will decide concerning investments, prices, or any other important business decisions. Economists seek to predict these decisions by using Game Theory.

Game Theory helps players logically figure out the decisions other players will make. Game Theory not only helps predict players decisions, but has an impact on politics, other businesses, pricing of products and services, locations for industrial plants, and even enviormental issues if the prime location for an industrail plant is near an endangered species.

Create a 4 pages page paper that discusses step motor driver for full step, half step excitation mode.

Create a 4 pages page paper that discusses step motor driver for full step, half step excitation mode. For a bipolar motor, an external device referred to as an H-Bridge can be used to reverse the polarity of the winding and thus the flux. An H-Bridge can also drive a unipolar motor by not connecting the center tap (common) lead or use only one of the windings in the pair. Using the given state machine states and truth tables, the driver circuits for all the three modes of stepper motor excitation were designed and simulated. The following are the diagrams showing the truth table and state machine states with actual motor motion in this design, the no load or constant load accuracy of a 7.5 degree/step motor is within 0.5% noncumulative. It simply implies that the positioning error is the same whether the rotational movement is one step or 1000 steps. Since the step error is noncumulative, it averages itself out to zero within a 4-step sequence, which corresponds to 360 electrical degrees. This causes the transistor collector/emitter junction to conduct. When transistors Q1 and Q3 on, the current flows through the motor coil in the forward or + direction. However, when Q2 and Q4 on, the current to flows through the motor coil in the reverse direction. In the experiment, only half step truth table was presented. However, if you compare the half step and full step tables, it’s noticed that all of the full step sequences appear in the half step table, even though not in the same order. This information was useful in the circuit design, especially when writing the codes for the microcontroller.

Provide a 1 page analysis while answering the following question: OOS-Deviation assignment detecting the presence of diethylene glycol in toothpaste by thin layer chromotography. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. Using Thin Layer Chromatography to Detect the Presence of Diethylene Glycol in Toothpaste Thin-layer chromatography is most commendable method when detecting presence of diethylene glycol (DEG) in toothpaste. Consequently, the thin layer chromatography acquires the role of the screening procedure during the process. The target for diethylene glycol is 0.01% as pointed out by Mr. Sparkle Super-Whitening Toothpaste. The SOP, QC 141.10 vividly describes the procedure associated with this process (Ahuja & Scypinski, 2011).

The SOP states that there are three main solution required during this experiment: A mixture in the ratio of 85:10:5 of Toluene, Developing Solvent Acetone and 5M of Ammonium Hydroxide. Additionally, for detection purposes, you will require 6.7 mg/mL of developing the solvent of Potassium Permanganate Staining Solution.

Procedure of detecting DEG in toothpaste

Centrifuge tube of 50mL polypropylene to sample a preparation of toothpaste with a weight of around 1.0g. To disperse the toothpaste, add 5mL of water and vortex for around 1 minute. Next is the addition of 5mL of acetonitrile to the mixture followed by vortex about 1 minute. Prior to collecting around 1mL of the supernatant, centrifuge the mixture until you obtain a crystal-clear solution. Make use of the 1.5mL micro test tubes by transferring 500L of the supernatant to it then add 1.0mL of methanol. Dilute 0.2mL of DEG to 0.5mL using methanol in order to achieve the standard reference preparation (Ahuja & Scypinski, 2011). Spread the 5L diluted test solution and the reference standard solution on a sheet and leave it to dry. To get commendable results, use chromatographic procedure spot.

The next step is to put the sheet in a developing tank that has been prepared by balancing 100mL of developing a solvent for about 30minutes. Remove the solvent and permit it to dry in the air immediately the developing solution reaches the stopping line. When you submerge the dried sheet in potassium permanganate solution and then remove the sheet after around 5 seconds, yellows spots will start to appear on the background as the sheet begins to dry. The last spot to appear is DEG.

The reading of DEG varies from 0.40%, 0.41% and 0.44% for OOS results and between 0.005% and 0.015% for OOS deviation. According Ahuja and Scypinski (2011), after the examination of the OOS results, the procedures on the discovery and occurrences of the OOS are recorded.

submit a 1250 words paper on the topic The importance of Ethics to Sustainable Growth in Engineering Enterprise.

Hi, need to submit a 1250 words paper on the topic The importance of Ethics to Sustainable Growth in Engineering Enterprise. In the instances where security measures are inadequate, the consequences are usually catastrophic. Although the threats are becoming more sophisticated, some organizations have managed to mitigate the impact by regularly reviewing their security capabilities and capacities so as to identify areas of vulnerability.

In coming up with the cyber security measures to protect the information and the IT resources, organizations and individuals are required to understand the risks they face so that the right interventions can be put in place. This has therefore necessitated research on various malware programs like Trojan horse, spyware and worms from a scientific perspective. Empirical studies have also been carried out to help identify the relevant strategies that can be used to alleviate and eventually eradicate the threats originating from the cyber space. Based on the previous research, it had been anticipated that the future attacks and threats would be characterized by a combination malware with strong cartography. In the last couple of years, there has been the emergence of a new form of malware in the cyber spaces and it has put organizations at increased risk of suffering attacks. Ransomware has emerged to be a source of threat both to individuals and organizations. It has drawn the attention of almost all the IT system security specialists, practitioners and researchers.

Empirical and evidence based studies continue to be carried to help understand the new emergent threats to allow organizations be prepared to mitigate its impacts. Teer, Kruck & Kruck (2007) notes that ransomware perpetrators are able to victimize the internet users and organizations by hijacking the files stored, encrypting them before demanding payment in exchange for the decryption key. The threat functions by exploring the system vulnerabilities and seizing control over the victim’s file and computer systems until the demanded payment is made.

write an article on Business Structure Advice.

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an article on Business Structure Advice. It needs to be at least 500 words. BUSINESS STRUCTURE ADVICE Starting any business requires prior proper arrangements. It needs fiscal preparations and efficient supervision for the enterprise to succeed. A number of issues need to be considered even as one initiates the business. The owner should do a business that is authorized by the state or government (Kurtz, & Boone, 2011). The business accreditation certificate is of great importance, in this case. All your dealings should be done in an environment that is suitable for your clients. You should study the needs of your consumers and know the potential competitors in the sector. A market survey can also give you valuable information on how to overcome the challenges, spot the present and the future troubles in the business and discover other opportunities.

Financing a business that is just starting is always very difficult. The person in business should know the amount of cash that is actually required to begin and drive the business. You can start a business with the individual money or capital obtained from acquaintances, and relatives (Kurtz, & Boone, 2011). The individual investments show your obligation to the business and also give you a chance to request support from the government subsidy. This subsidy may be a loan for which you are expected to pay back the principal amount including the interest. These business loans are either short term or long term hence it will depend on the size of the business you want to venture in.

There are different business structures or forms. You should consider what business form is efficient for your needs depending on whether you want to conduct the business by yourself, or you want to do it with a colleague. According to Pride, Hughes, and Kapoor (2012), an appropriate business form is determined by monetary, individual, law and duty issues. The following types may be suitable for a new business venture: Sole proprietorship: This is a business owned by a single person. The owner is entirely in charge of all its operations. All the earnings from the business are for the sole proprietor. It is possible for the owner to use own assets to remove the debts. Sole proprietorship is advantageous because: it is easy to start, the starting fee is moderately low, the management load is small, the owner is fully in charge and can make his choices in the business, and all the income goes directly to the owner. However, this form of activity has open problems, for instance, if you have debts, the individual resources will be used to remove the debts. There is also no stability in business in case of death of the owner. It is not easy to raise resources alone.

Partnership: This form of business involves two or more people. The resources are pooled and put in the business. The partners share the profits of the business according to the agreement between the partners. A partnership is easy to start. The other advantages of the partnership include: the initial capital is shared equally among partners, the earnings, resources and supervisory roles are shared equally among the partners. This form of business also has a lot of problems involving debt settlement just like the sole proprietorship (Pride, Hughes, & Kapoor, 2012). The other limitations it has may include: it is hard to find a suitable partner and a possible wrangle development between partners. You are also held accountable for any business choices made especially when the deal becomes sour.

Apparently, sole proprietorship and partnership have different tax consequences for the owners. Kurtz and Boone (2011) argue that in sole proprietorship, the owners can take away the losses from their individual returns. The levies can be filed as an individual instead of paying company tax rates. On the other hand, a partnership has a tax advantage in that if income from the partnership is low or you lose money, the partners include the shares of their partnership in their individual tax return.

In conclusion, I would confidently advise any person intending to initiate a business to start a sole proprietorship bravely because it is easy to start and manage, and any decisions will lie with the owner. If adequate preparations are made prior to its opening, then the chances of succeeding are higher instead of initiating a partnership and getting a suitable partner is difficult.

Write a 5 pages paper on functionalist and conflict perspectives.

Write a 5 pages paper on functionalist and conflict perspectives. The main question which is put forward by functionalist sociologists is that how is a society kept close together at all times and how is its order maintained?

To begin with, functionalists concentrate upon two ideas that are closely related to their idea of how societies are held together. Firstly, how is order maintained in our society, and secondly, what are the major reasons behind the stability which exists in our society.

Functionalists do not focus on the differences found in different parts of the society. They, in fact, focus on how the shared norms, values and mores help create social solidarity and cohesion. (Browne, 2006)

The ideas of functionalists are based on the concept of organic analogy. These ideas were initially discussed by patron sociologists like Auguste Comte and Emile Durkheim. They explained that the society was like a human body. If there was a pain in one part of the body it will affect the functioning of the whole society. Therefore, it was necessary for society to be in equilibrium.

Durkheim (“The Rules of Sociological Method”, 1895) emphasizes on two concepts. The first concept is social solidarity. Solidarity is based upon such things as common culture, socialization, basic values, and norms. It is these common ideas that bring about social cohesion in the society thereby, giving it the form of a human body. The second concept is that of collective conscience – the “external expression” of the collective will of people living in a society. This represents the social forces that help bind people together (to integrate them into the collective behavior that is society). It can be likened to the “will” of society.

The most popular functionalist of America, Talcott Parsons (1951), focused on the behavior of the people while under the influence of social institutions. For Parsons, the key to the survival of the society was the shared norms and values held by its individual members. Deviation from those norms leads to disorganization, and this, in turn, threatens the survival of the system.

Create a thesis and an outline on Anthropology.

I need help creating a thesis and an outline on Anthropology. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. Anthropology The human brain has undergone natural evolution for millions of years. From a mere half-a-kilogram about 2.5 million years ago it currently weighs three times as much. The human brain is the largest of all primate brains. Historically, it has been the fastest growing brain in the animal kingdom. The much larger neocortex area of the human brain distinguishes humans from other animal species, imparting them with the ability to think, to decide and to judge. But, according to neuroscientists, the human brain will not grow for ever. it might become double the current size and no more. However, our intelligence will continue to grow. According to futurists, the improvement in human intelligence would ultimately require adding a computer interface to the human brain.

The human brain is a machine, albeit a complex one, so is a computer especially a supercomputer. The brain functions on three levels: biological, psychological and computational. The computer, on the other hand, functions essentially by the computational approach. The human brain, is linked to a mind and, therefore, is capable of thinking. Many researchers in artificial intelligence (AI) believe that a computer can be made to think as well, with the help of a computer program with the right inputs and outputs (Searle, 1990). However, Searle disputes this saying that computers, based on rules in the computer program, just manipulate symbols that are syntactic. therefore, “merely running the computer program is not enough to guarantee cognition.” Syntax of symbols and programs is only abstract and does not identify any physical phenomena whereas the domain of syntactic rules in the human brain is the sentence which is computed in combinations of fixed words as specified by the syntax. Also, more importantly, when uttered the meaning of the sentence is integrated with other information including semantic information from extra-linguistic domains such as co-speech gestures or the visual world. These steps are important for the listeners to interpret the language. Thus, in the case of a computer program, the computer which is the listener, is unable to interpret the language of the computer program which is only syntactic and abstract, and devoid of semantic framework. Therefore, computer programs are not the equivalent of nor do they have minds.

According to Searle, thinking is not analogous to formal symbol manipulation. Yet, he says he does not believe that thinking is a purely biological process. Notwithstanding the fact that advances in neuroscience have now more or less proved that all aspects of our mental life including perceptions, thinking, memories, actions, language etc. are neurobiological processes that depend upon brain function, Searle puts forth his argument that “we might even come to be able to create thinking systems artificially”. But he hastens to add that the computer only simulates cognition but will not produce the same outcome as that of neurobiological renditions of cognition. In other words, “brains cause minds” (Searle, 1990) which is to say that the mental phenomena produced by human brains do not merely result from the brains’ computational activity. Searle rebuts the claim of the defenders of AI who say that semantics is non-existent and there is only syntax, and the mental activity is nothing but syntactic symbol manipulation, by arguing that brain has the neurobiological capability to add meaning to symbol manipulation.

Another attribute the human brain has and which the computer lacks is creativity. Creativity makes the brain think. The human brain does more than thinking since the semantic memory has layers of discrete, hierarchically organized concepts and propositions wherein subordinate levels will automatically inherit the propositions applying to their superordinates. For example, given the fact that birds can fly, one would not need to learn specifically that owls can fly but one would need to have the fact that the ostrich, inspite of being a bird, cannot fly. Computer programs will not provide such conceptual microfeatures. hence, the possibility of making a computer/robot that has

a mind is indeed very remote.

prepare and submit a paper on the theme of everyday life in the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.

Your assignment is to prepare and submit a paper on the theme of everyday life in the curious incident of the dog in the night-time. Haddon provides an informative piece that explains the nature of life. The author emphasizes the theme of everyday life by insisting that individuals should live pleasurable lives, adjust to changes and be satisfied with their abilities. Therefore, he observes that humans should not worry about the future since it has the capacity of making their lives uncomfortable. This paper examines concepts explored by the theme of everyday life in the article. Christopher’s story signifies that life is associated with Christopher provides a typical example of everyday life. hence, society can use his story to understand the theme of everyday life. Christopher’s story signifies that life is associated with suffering and humanity can only enjoy their pursuit after overcoming the challenges presented by life. This is seen in a game he plays with his father, thus, “You don’t have to say anything, not right now. You just have to think about it. And, um. . . I’ve got you a present. To show you that I really mean what I say. And to say sorry. And because. . . well, you’ll see what I mean” (Haddon 151). The above statement also indicates that Christopher’s life is characterized by grave challenges, which he works tirelessly to overcome. He faces challenges that distort his effort of attaining his desires. Therefore, the author provides a guideline for overcoming life challenges by noting that individuals need to think about their conditions as seen in the quote above (Haddon 23). Importantly, the author indicates that the consequence of endurance is a success. Consequently, Haddon does not take life’s challenges negatively, but he considers them as building blocks, which humanity can use to enhance success. For instance, Christopher accepts his condition and utilizes his reduced ability to resolve serious dilemmas. This approach makes him realize tremendous achievements that make society assume that he as a mysterious character.&nbsp.&nbsp.

research paper on identify three accomplishments in your professional career and explain how they demonstrate your potential to become a successful manager.

Need an research paper on identify three accomplishments in your professional career and explain how they demonstrate your potential to become a successful manager. Needs to be 2 pages. Please no plagiarism. Personal ment: I think that in order to be a successful manager, an individual is necessarily creative, foresighted and is a good leader. In thefollowing text, I have narrated how I made use of these intrinsic qualities of my personality in my profession and how my efforts bore fruition at various points in time.

The economic recession which occurred in the last few years all over the world brought very harsh circumstances for my employer, XYZ. Soon after the announcement of headcount reduction plans in XYZ, an atmosphere of immense fear and uncertainty cropped up, and people started to worry about their position in the company, and whether they would be deemed fit enough to continue to be part of it. This was mainly due to the lack of transparency between management and employees. My firm believes that an organization can reach its maximum potential if its members are allowed to honestly provide as well as accept constructive feedback as it makes the circumstances conducive for mutual growth. Following this belief, I took the risk of singlehandedly approaching the higher management and suggesting them to foster open communication where employees and the management could discuss the sales and marketing plans with each other as a team. Initially, my proposal met with disapproval and I was criticized for being a non-conformist. Nevertheless, the skepticism soon turned into acknowledgement with the implementation of the communication policy as per my suggestion. Management realized the benefits of having the company share future plans with the employees more responsively. Accordingly, it opened a new channel between the employees and the management. Later, I asked myself what had made me flow against the main stream. It dawned upon me that this incident was an outcome of the very character-building exercise that I was doing since childhood. That exercise encouraged me to rise and face such situations with integrity and perseverance.

I was the leader on a project for a pharmaceutical client. We had to implement a SharePoint – InfoPath solution. As it was our first time with a pharmaceutical client, we just made sure that the estimates were objective and optimistic enough to win us the complete project. The actual design consumed considerably lesser time to be made than it does normally, though I strongly believe that if 80 per cent of the total time on a project is spent on designing and clarifying issues, development takes no more than 20 per cent of the time. I resolved to take added responsibilities in order to make sure that we did not miss the deadline. I got more involved it the Initial Client Requirements phase, and provided inputs at each stage in which the expectations sounded unrealistic. Besides, I gave the development team a go ahead as more the design progressed so that the simultaneous work would save time for the execution of project.

Back in India, I got an opportunity to work with one of the leading airlines in the country. While working on project proposals for them, I learnt that for every extra minute that a dead ticket lays on the centralized ticketing server, Sabre, the airlines are charged. I thought that a lot of money could be saved by taking care of these dead records. To achieve that, I developed a program in just two hours what a team of 12 people used to do in three shifts around the week. The client appreciated me for showing them way to save 5 million dollars annually.

Although these incidents do showcase my managerial qualities, yet I feel an urge to enhance my leadership and managerial skills. I am positive that I can achieve this by attaining an MBA degree from one of the best business schools in the world like ABC. I hope that the renowned faculty in the MBA program at ABC can help me achieve more, to reach the apogee of my potential both personally and professionally and put me on the path to success.
